I think that a cool thing for the up coming dwarf factions would be like theese...

lol well itd make sense wat would dwarfs use short swords theyre short ppl and longer ranged weapons would make more sense also theyre a pretty coo unit in a game called the battle for middle earth rise of the witch king lol

I think a dwarf would use a crossbow, slow but a lot of damage, but they would have more hit points than most their level, being hardy dwarves and all, so they often to survive to get their shot off.

abilities: digg in (the dwarf can digg in so he is 100% imumme to ranged damage and 50% defense against melee but when dwarf is diggd in he cant move to get out use it abilitie again this will end his turn

I think dwarfs can do magic at lev.1.Maybe dwarfs would use range like dark elves and elves for the hero attack.
link is taken (as all units of these games) from HOMM (maybe Hammer of Fate) so i think they will reproduce those dwarf units...

lol and dwarfs would have a unit with a bigg bomb and when the dwarf ''terorist'' hits hit enemy it deals 9999999999 damage that would be fun :)
i know a good idea for dwarfs racial special
they can boost hero artifacts like if the art has 10/10 durability (i dont know if i had wrote this last word good) it can have 12/12 durability
or dwarfs can make special arts that only they can were
How about dwarves get blacksmith at 1st lvl. So they can repair right away and the extra time will lets them lvl the skill so by 6th lvl they are 30-40% instead of 10%
Or how bout...

speicials: caster,mass stun(stuns enemy units from moving for 2 turns but they can still attack but they cant move and it has a like area afect of 9 squares and it does 10 damage to evry unit afected but he can only cast it once evry 3 turns)
