I am new to this game. Need some help with a few questions I have below
1) How does equipping your hero/character help in battle? Say like shields, etc. Do they also help the armies?
2) How do you join Gambling guild
3) After each battle, I get some skill points. Where can use them

In group battles, many games listed have higher levels against lower levels. Does the high risk have a larger benefit in XP gained? | 1) yes, units attack, defense, initiative, morale and luck get enhanced by the sum of the artifact modifiers. not spellpower or knowledge!
2) By winning Tavern card games
3) Those skill points determine your faction level (for boni, see https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=10, faction skill level)
