is it possible to win a battle with darkelf?????
seems to me the game is kind of unbalanced. if i fight vs an elb for example half my army is dead before i can attack them. did i just chose the wrong race???? |

it seems every race is built around owning DE's. (at level 5-6 atleast)
Dark elves do have a decent advantage at earlier levels, but it is short lived once other factions get thier race specific abilities/units. |

Hunters' guild: 2 (144.32) +35.7
Laborers' guild: 1 (137) +43
Ofcourse you lose with those low skills and no artefacts |

*the content you are about to read may not help but its my theory. Just to let you know i won 2 battles out of 7 today.*
I think you should get some bandits as they are ranged so by the time to enemy get to you they'll be weaker. + I think you should have as much lizard calvery as possible. (use poisoners instead of bandits if you have them) |
| i mean normal elves, its impossible to win! mostly i get the first turn but i cant attack in first trun caus i have only good melee fighter, so i can go forward. then moves the elf and with his druids an bows he can kill all my rouges for example. and only with 5-6 lizards and the minos i cant kill em all. |

Elfs is really to win, most of them poor and going to battles without arts, so you have all chances vs them:)
Also try to fled your lizard before attacking enemy's troops |

| So you may try to be a mage. 2-3 points to knowlenge and max points of spell power. In army get max minotaurs. So your army will be "meat", main attacker will be hero with powerful cast. As i know it's not bad variant until you get 2nd up. |

and never put ur lizard in elven range(6 squares)
split ur rogues 1-1-1-1 (take retalation,cover liz,hit the wall)

I am an elf and I tried combats with DE. In the duels, with or without arts it's quite difficult to win against elf as a DE. One elf trick against the poisoners is the sprites which can heal once per combat the poisoned troops. Still, in 3v3 combats, if the DE has enough mana and a nice spell power, he/she makes him-/herself an admirable opponent. So, my suggestion would be for you to avoid duels and everyone for oneself combats.
Elves are quite weak in respect with barbarians (for example) in duels. Elves are also team players more than individual warriors.
