Authorlevel 5 knight newbie
and here comes the odvious question, what are good fighting tactics and recuiting tactics and positioning.
So far I have 4 farmers that switch with my griffons to protect my archers and act as fodder to enrage my knights. 9 griffons which I go back and forth in either defending archers or trying to be my awesome offense combined with my escort ability. I thought my griffons would last longer considering all my level up points I've put onto def, which on a side note, was that a bad idea putting all my points on defense? And is the only way to defend against magic with enchanted armor? I have 28 knights that are still my brawn by far and I lowered my archers from 20 to 18 to up my knights to thier max and griffons to almost max, I lessened them by one to get some farmers(shields) as I still don't have enough money to buy recruits yet.
Ok thank you all in advance for your advice, I'm off to try and figure it out for myself, I'm just asking advice so I don't waste money by losing as I am now apart of the having to be equiped to fight club, the 5+ers.
Well try to get recruits as quickly as possible because you will be able to recruit more overall. The only way to defned against magic is to either be barbarian have enchanted armour or your creature has a special ability. You should also try to get max grif and sword and split bowmen into stacks if you want to enrage your swords. And attack would probably be more useful than defense because then your hero will be able to deal more damage with escort, your creatures will be able to deal more damage as well and you get nore defense from arts than you get attack.
I see you went back to 10 griffins and no farmers. That's the right call. Your Griffins should be maxed out and then your SMs should be maxed out. They are by far better than bowmen. As your recruiting looks now is good. Just remember to split up your stacks before combat begins - stacks of 1 bowmen so you have one stack og grifs, one stack of SM, one big stack og bowmen and then the 4 bowmen stacks. There are two advantages of having bowmen instead of darmers in one-stacks. First they have higher init. than SM so they can take retal for them and second they can be used to get two misses on opposing ghost stacks (Or even hit your allied ghost stacks with volley if you know there is a 100% hit)

As far as the defense/attack issue goes I prefer to have defense for my knight troops. Their low init. makes attack less important and together with the grifs umlinited retal abitily and the SMs shield ability defense makes your opponents think twice before charging you.

But save up your gold to get recruits. No that you necessarily need them but they make you get 6 bowmen more I think.
you got a knight faction discussion topic in GGF :)
