| Well, the chicken is most probably a descendant of the dinosaures, so the chicken and the egg have existed at the same time. The dinosaur egg came before the dinosaur, because otherwise the first dinosaures couldnt reproduce themselves. I don't know if dinosaures hatched their eggs ;), I would think, the climate was warm enough. But here again: for evolution it is easier to create an egg than a complex organism like a dinosaur. Egg came first! |

| You have to specify the question, because "egg or chicken?" is surely an egg which came first. The dinosaurs and lizards were born out of eggs long before birds evolved. Just in case somebody missed the part - Origin of Special by Charles Darwin. Its only a theory but it makes more sense than chicken falling out of the burning sky when the world was forged by Titans or what. |

If u have heard about Darwins theory, the chicken probably descended from dino. Also i have never heard about a chicken who didn't came out of a egg :s it isn't a mammal.
