AuthorAnother Thief Invitation for Rent
Hi...I have a thief invitation I will be renting out if anyone is interested

Conditions are as follows:

Return the invite within 4 weeks after reaching thief guild level 2:

You will also return to me your first 2 thief artifacts within 2 weeks after receiving the invititation from me (the artifacts you obtain at level 1 and level 2 of the thief guild...not any you obtain from trades/purchases).

If you have not reached thief guild level 2 at 2 weeks, then you must pay a fine of 3000 gold/day for each day it is late after 2 weeks.

You have a maximum of 4 weeks to return the invitation. You may not rent or sell the thief invitation. Breaking any of these rules, you risk being fined 600,000 gold and/or your character being blocked.

In addition:

1. Must be level 7 or level 8 (but not near level 9 as thieving difficulty exponentially increases at level 9 and above...you will likely not be able to reach level 2 in time)

2. Must be a dedicated and active player with adequate resources to finance being a thief (I will review your character...arts are costly)

3. Must not have multiple characters or engage in transfers that are against the rules (if you get banned I lose my invite!)

4. Priority and special considerations will be given to members of the Jedi Order clan

Please PM if you haven any questions
I accept this.
I will rent it for 4 weeks and bring back to thief arts at level 2 + invite back
Please wait for a while wheter someone in clan may interest.
Thank you for considering my thief invitation rental service:

Okay I will hold the offer (4 weeks rental with the return of 2 thief arts + TGI/no gold) for Kwan_waris3 of the Jedi Order X 3 days pending further interest...
agreeing to 4 week rental with return of TGI + the 2 thief arts i won (only 1 art if complete by 7 days)
and for following game rules
Okay my first rental will go to evil_mimi of the Jedi Order under the above terms (4 weeks total with return of 2 thief arts + TGI (only 1 thief art if complete by 7 days) and risk of the above penalties if conditions are not met); My understanding is you will start on 1/25/09 at 2100 LordsWM time. Good luck...

Next players on the waiting list seem to be Jedi and Kwan_waris3 for now...but anyone please feel free to send me a PM concerning any interest in renting my TGI (or any other questions you may have)
why no lvl 6s?
Hi...thanks for your question MaChaoShu...I am always willing to consider any offers and possibly make exceptions to a rule

I assume that thieving would be difficult at level 6 and that would decrease the chance of a level 6 player returning the TGI in time. I must admit that I have not done my research...probably should...I have not looked at any replays of level 6 characters' thief ambushes in the combat logs (to assess difficulty of AI caravans) and so I am basing my opinion that it would be extremely difficult thieving at level 6 on pure assumption. It appears as if the rules have changed so that thief ambushes with ther human players can only be against opponents of the same level (although still possibility of meeting 2 opponents) which would, of course, lower the overall difficulty of thieving at level 6.

...But there are other considerations concerning level 6 thieves. This would include the liklihood of being too "poor" on average as the level 6 hero would not have had as long to accumululate gold/resources (+ lower Laborer's Guild level on average) to afford the expense of thieving (artifacts and possible daily thieving fees in gold).

Lastly and perhaps more importantly...a level 6 player may not be invested enough in the game for me to take the risk giving them my invite. Reaching level 6 does not take too long. The penalty/threat of being "banned" for violating the TGI lease conditions (e.g. not giving back an art or the TGI within the agreed upon time frame) may not matter for the unscrupulous player. He or she could easily start a new character if their level 6 character were banned without much "sweat."
thieving at lv 6 is quite easy =)
Straws, thanx for the info...looks like I need to find some level 6 thief to see what the caravans look like...

if it is indeed true that level 6 thieving is easy/not that difficult then I will change my rule and be open to leasing to level 6 players...although I will likely be picky (given what I said above) as that character must appear invested enough in the game...TGI is very valuable and many players who have leased out their TGI have lost them/never got them back...

Overall I think it is better to begin thieving as early as possible as I know the difficulty increases dramatically at level 9...
lvl6 knight with a few arts(not even full arts) can do ambushing very very easy now.
ok...thanx...looks like my assumptions were wrong...reviewed several combat logs from level 6 thieves (all races except demons, barbs) as recently as 1 month ago...wow...thieving does in fact appear pretty easy at level 6 and may not require many if any arts at all...would now recommend thieving starting at combat level 6 before the game creators make any changes to thieving!

Looks like i can't edit my original post but I am now opening TGI leasing to dedicated level 6 players

Also I am open to any offers (e.g. gold payment/elements instead of returning thief arts)
