i'm at least really happy that Arctic posted anything. Although i might not understand a bit of the story i'm happy to see the admins well and alive (maybe too well and alive if they start writing novels gg )
i just remembered when i started this game in november it was about 2 or 3 months since the last words spoken by an admin and many people were running aroung crying that .ru has abandoned .com and will slowly shut it down etc
so if you don't like the story look on it as a red flag "hi we're still here, interested in this game and actually laying an egg which takes us some time" |

Alright, so we (the players) are at discord on whether we want just written updates or only for war events, etc.
Personally, I'm for the written. It tends to bring more substance to the events knowing why they are happening. For those who do't know why or what is happening...well, there's the quicky version to read. Hopefully that will fill you in.
What I am interested in is the outcome of what will happen as of a result(instead of all the grumbling back and forth). Too bad I can't comment myself, but much willing to hear from the rest of you.... |
I really like Arctic novels, I find them very nice!
Before this, almost every time we get an announcement, then something new has come. So wait a bit and we will see what is going to happen there!! |

Story is nice to have as long as it comes with gameplay updates, 'cause this game is really amazing for the gameplay ( graphics etc are nice but improving them won't bring more people here ) |
I like the story. As Skunder said it's good to know why something is happening. Good work Arctic! Just don't wait too long with that update.

If .ru is something to judge by (and yes, I know this isn't .ru, but still) then we won't be getting news like new FONTS or resourse icons or somesuch, have no fear =)

I'm willing to wait a lot longer for the update, as I'm afraid it will contain monsters or artifacts that make use of the magic absorbing qualities of Hermit's gem. Anything that diminishes a wizard's spellpower can stay buried at the bottom of the ocean, as far as I'm concerned.
If it does hurt the wizards unduly, maybe the wizard warlord on the council will step up to bat for us! |
the whole point of the stories is to build suspense. It creates excitement. Just look at how much these teasers get people talking. They wonder what's the update going to be? This gets everyone anticipating the updates, and therefore they are much happier when they come out then they would have been otherwise.
I like the stories, makes me look forward to what will happen next. |

Back in the day people were so starving for news, even 'New landscapes' was worth mentioning. I sure hope we won't go through that again...
On the other hand, lots of stuff like new artifact/spell/hero/monster/forum icons didn't make it into news. Thanks to Admins for small favors like that :|

| Yep back then the game was more or less dying. I remember i started here late July and for several months there was nothing serious. But this seems to have changed radically last 2 months and admins won people's trust again. I even reached a point that i stopped playing for sometime ( almost 1.5 month ) believing the project was abandoned on .com [ I even started on .ru for a few days and started a bit to learn Russian language...!!!! ), but luckily it was not and now i got a very nice game to fill my free time with :) |
