Because I would like to calculate whether I should use the best arts for me or I'm better off with not so useful arts that have more APs. |

I read the tournament reward mechanics at https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=44 and I'm having a bit of a headache sorting out a few things.
Currently, the level 6 tournament prizes are:
Current Prize: 172,600
Incentive Prize: 290,800
According to my undestanding of the reward calculation formula the top 3 winners of each faction will receive their reward as follows:
#1: 172,600 (Cur_Prize) / 7 (Factions) = 24,657
#2: 290,800 (Inc_Prize) * 0,60 (60%) / 7 (F) = 24,925
#3: 290,800 (Inc_Prize) * 0,40 (40%) / 7 (F) = 16,617
The above calculations lead me to suppose that a player who ranks #2 will receive a reward greater than the player who ranks #1 in the same faction.
Will there be an extra prize, which is mentioned as Main Price in the reward mechanics thread (In a somewhat confusing way) which will be added to the Current Prize after the tournament is over, seeing as the above reward prizes are relatively low and in most cases don't even get to cover the expenses?
I would very much appreciate an answer from an admin.

Actually, rewarding rules for Survival tournament are different.
"Winners in every faction (per level) are awarded. Main prize (current) is split in 7 parts, of one part 1st place gets 50%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 20%.
Incentive Prize, which is 80% of entrance fees, is split evenly between 10% of best players in each faction (exact number depends on quantity of participants from each faction)" |
Ok, so If I get this straight, according to your post and using the same numbers on my above post (taken from level 6 tournament statistics) the formula is as follows:
The main price is split in the top 3 players of each faction like this:
#1: 172,600 / 7 * 0,50 = 12,328
#2: 172,600 / 7 * 0,30 = 7,397
#3: 172,600 / 7 * 0,20 = 4,931
And there's a bonus price of:
290,800 / 7 = 41,542 which is split between the 10% of best players of each faction (72 players in our example **) which equals to... 576 gold.
** The number of level 6 players is calculated by the following formula:
290,800 (IP) / 4 * 5 / 500 (entrance fee) = 727 players (10% = 72 players)
Since Incentive Prize equals to 80% of entrance fees of all level 6 players.
Isn't the above reward prices low compared to previous tournament awards?

lol! simply put, the winners (or should i say victims... :p ) of this tournament are going to receive about 50% of the art cost that they used when battling! :p This is the best tournament till now in terms of interesting fighting, and the worst in terms of prizes! :p first time that there are no diamonds in the price and first time that the prize will be under 150,000 gold!.
Heck, the winner should be happy if the price even reaches 20,000 gold!
Well, i'm really happy that i've seen two people on the forums with higher scores than me! :D
Oh, please oh lord, give me the pleasure to finish in 4th or lower place, so that i can laugh at the frustration of the top 3 when they receive their prices...

And another thing I noticed is that since my last post the Current Prize has elevated by 500 gold to 173,100 (From 172,600), while the Incentive Prize has elevated by 2000 gold to 292,800 (From 290,800).
The reward system page mentions that:
3) Half of all admission fees are added to the basic prize.
4) The other half of admission fees make up the incentive prize.
Could the prize calculation formula be broken? |

It is either for a better sp versus xp ratio (which is a no in this tourney)

As for the prize itself - aren't you guys forgetting that you're fighting to protect Empire from mindless monsters controlled by Mastermind (whatever it is)

P.S. On a side note - previous tournaments were PvP. In this PvM one to win (in theory) is enough to make one(!) attempt. What did you expect as prize? Half the Empire and Empress' hand? :) |

For players with combat level 12 (Kusika and ViSao), too?
At 12 are only 2 players.
Kusika played as Wizard, and DE;
ViSao as DE and Barbarian
So, prize should be split in 2 (only 2 players) or 4 parts (only 4 faction in tournament).
Or maybe they should play each battle with other faction. 7 first and second places to take :D
Better for them is win first place i.e. as Elf, Demon..., then second as DE. |

No you don't have to, but you are allowed then to also enter at the new level. Your scores from the prior level are supposedly also being saved. |
