AuthorSkeleton reserves
Hi, a new necro here has some questions...

1) When you bring a certain amount of extra skeletons into battle, but you were defeated, how many % of the amount of the extra skeletons that you brought in will be taken away from your reserves?

2) Say for example the maximum base skeleton i can recruit is 60, but I bring in an extra 40 from my reserves. So in total I bring 100 of them into battle. The fight results in a victory, but only 70 skeletons are left standing. How many, if any, skeletons will I lose from my reserves?

3) What is the probability of raising skeletons from any battle? So far every single win got me at least 1 skeleton. But how can I attain such a high probability when my necro faction level is still 0? Unless, of course 'probability' relates to the number of skeletons raised, which is proportionate to faction skill level, as well as the total hp of the once-living stacks. :P In which case, is there a certain formula that might be useful to know?
"Necromancy
This ability teaches Necromancers how to raise skeletons from dead bodies of the opponent's living creature. Raised warriors are fully controlled by the Necromancers, and populate their troops. Only the victorious party can raise skeletons from living creatures of the defeated party. Undead, elemental and mechanical creatures cannot be transformed into skeletons. If the winning party consists of several Necromancers, they divide the raised skeletons in proportion to their skill levels.
The probability of raising skeletons depends on the Necromancer skill level and is proportional to the original living creature's health points. The rate of raising creatures at successful hunts is 5 times lower.
The skeletons total amount in the castle reserve is limitless, however, only a certain part of them, depending on the Necromancer skill level, can be taken into combat."
hmm? I was hoping for an answer that I haven't already read several times...
i ve never played as a necromancer, so i am not 100%, but as far as i know:

1) if you do a duel or group battle, you lose all skeletons, and in a hunt or merc quest you only lose 25% of the dead skeletons

2) no idea

3) as i posted above:
Only the victorious party can raise skeletons from living creatures of the defeated party. Undead, elemental and mechanical creatures cannot be transformed into skeletons. If the winning party consists of several Necromancers, they divide the raised skeletons in proportion to their skill levels.

for Skuwak:

1)Even when you lose or win the hunt, duel, battle.
you'll lose all the extra skelton u added in to your orginal troops.

2)Same as above.

3)It depends on your racial skills, so level up more...
for Skuwak:

Sorry, I meant it's ok if you lost 60 orginal ske troops 60/100
As long the amount of your reserve ske 40 is alive, your reserve'll not be lost.

Which means you need to revive the reserve amount of ske you brought into the battle in the end before you win in order not to lose any troops.
ah, thanks for the replies. Knowing how many I need to revive at the end sure does help. :)
for Skuwak:

so you got your answer ?
i thought skellies from reserve always perish first
but if its not pvp battle, amount loss will be 5 times lesser
for sry:

heh I got my answer and more; some of the replies contradict each other so it's hard to know who is right. :P

By the way, it's still a call out to those who have an idea of the formula of how faction level increases the number of raised skeletons.
I know it isn't really vital that I have to know it, but it will help serve as added motivation to level up for me. :D

So if it's possible I would like to wait for more replies, I'll lock this myself when I think there won't be any more contributions.
that this page has it

2) Reserv skeletons die first, then do ordinary ones.

3) The exact formula for Necromancy remains unrevealed.
oh so 4 times lesser
