I'm just curious why people get ambushed in the middle of travelling?
Why don't they get ambushed the same way if you are doing brigands merc quest- get ambushed at the beginning?
Any ideas why?
PS, If people get into the ambush battle when they press the arrow, it would reduce the number of afker thief victims... | ^^ When you do mercs, it's an expected ambush.
But with thieves, it must be ur lucky day :p | It's a technical issue.
As Jeverag said, when you do mercs it's an expected battle. Mercs are NPCs so they are always ready and they can always give you the battle.
But with ambushes, they are setting you up with player thieves. First the game decides on some formula whether you should be ambushed or not, then they need to match you traveling with a thief ambushing. So because of this there is some delay.
But I agree with you, the afk'ing is a problem. It's a problem for both victims and thieves. It's also a problem for hunts too. The way everything is setup, you don't know how long you need to wait before the battle starts. |
