Valentines day

1|2

AuthorValentines day
I find it very homofobic, that you can send a valentines message only to oposite sex :-(
Me too! >:(
No way mate, thats called romantic... Innit?
What do you want to say? That gay people cant be romantic?
Instead of this, the administration should spend their time on making the server run better..

speechless ...

true, kinda lag nowadays.
Right.. Instead of laggy server and small but nice event let's just have laggy server. :/

On topic: I don't find it very homofobic but rather mildly inconvinient, since I can't send (or resieve =) valentines to/from guys with fem. chars.
guys with fem. chars.
a guy with a female character did send me one...
Should i be happy now? or cry? lol
Being feminine in the game as well as IRL, I received cards and flowers and I'm very happy with.
It's just discriminating and I wonder why admins have done more work to exclude people who want to wish others of same sex a happy Valentinsday. But I'm really sure, I won't get an answer to this question. :|

@6: Yeah, the ignorance among the people here makes me some kind of speechless, too.
This was done to limit cheating at the announced competition. People who get V-cards should only receive them from people that really sympathize with them. Allowing the unisex card transferring will cause many friends to send each other cards just to help each other win, which would break the event. arctic words stop complaing
You're really serious about this, aren't you? That's funny.

It is actually what Arctic has given as reason on this post:

Personally I can't say I'm too happy with that either. I do indeed find it homophobic as well (although I'm straight myself but with gay friends so I can see how it is perceived as from their viewpoint), but that may be just an opinion of a few.
Didn't read it before. Such a "limitation" is a bad trade against exclusion of non straight people. I can write cards with my multi to myself, I can open new multis, as far I have seen there is no price for the title. It's senseless to limit this "competition".

As much as I hate to disagree with an admin's decision, I'd have to go with you on this one. If one wanted, they can cheat in the competition by other means easily but doing so by alienating a entire minority is not right in my opinion. But I'm afraid complaining about it won't solve anything. :(
It won't change anything, but in my opinion it had to be said and maybe next year there will be a better solution.

Alright fair enough. :) Perhaps it will.
Valentines day is over
+16,

For next year, just eliminate the competition (so no one will cheat), and we can give valentine cards to everybody
whenn will the winners be annoucned?
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
