Author | How to understand enchanting conditions? |
When I look through the enchanting deals, I find stuff like 3x10% enchanting. What does that mean? What would the 3 stand for, and what does the 10% stand for? What is the maximum amount that something can be enchanted? What is the ratio of elements per percent enchantment?
Thanks ;) |
3X10% means 3 types of 10% enchanting ( air 10% , water 10% , earth 10%) |
the max is 4X10 i beleive
and 1 or 2 elements per %
meaning 4X10% could need 80 elements! |
ok, so as your enchanting level goes up, the number of enchantments and the percent of those enchantments goes up? |
that's right
Enchanters' guild: 1 (137) +451 (-)
Weaponsmith: 3 (136) +19
Armorer: 0 (1) +7
Jewelcrafter: 0 (0) +8
the enchanter's guild level determines the number of different types of enchants = level + 1, so the above player can 2 types of enchants.
the weapon smith level determines the % of each enchant , again at level + 1%,
so the player can do 4% enchants.
in conclusion the player can make 2 types of 4% enchants on weapons, or 2x4% in short. |
so can the enchanter only enchant one way till enchanter level 1? Example being at enchanter level 0 can they only enchant fire and fire only or can the enchant with any element, wait, and then enchant with a different element. Also, if they can enchant any element, then is it time or money saved in having your enchanter level higher? |
They can enchant with any element, but % and number of enchantments is lower.
Yes, it's possible to add enchantments later, but they have to be different (eg. if there's a nearth ench. already you can add fire or air, but not another earth ench.) |
And a good guide on enchantments, with lots of useful info:
