depends on play style
knights: slow but good defense
demon:lots of troops
necro:resurrecting dead troops
wizard:powerful spells
dark elf:strong but low amount of troops
elf:defense little but good shooters
barbs:fast and strong attackers |

Each faction has its own strengths and weaknesses.
As stepher said: depends on play style
knights: slow but good defense
demon:lots of troops
necro:resurrecting dead troops
wizard:powerful spells
dark elf:strong but low amount of troops
elf:defense little but good shooters
barbs:fast and strong attackers
But IMO, in addition:
knights: more defensive and tactical, esp once you get the higher tier creatures. You need to outflank and place your units well to get maximum efficiency
demon:Requires good tactics and management. Lose too many of your original units and you're in trouble. Deciding how many in a stack affects your gates.
necro:Worries about the low health of it's units and zombies... are... sl..o..w. Easily defeated if you don't know how and when to raise. Also everyone usually 'steps' on them...
Wizard: Costs a lot to maintain a good and string force. Without Mini-arts and enchanting, you feel a little behind on the troop quality and strength. Need to manage spells well, troop's and yours.
Dark elf: Lack of a good shooter early is inhibiting. Everyone is rightfully wary of rougues and shrews and will target them first (usually). Takes a lot of skill to manage in PvP.
Elf: Not good melee, maybe until Elite Forest Keepers, but even then... If you rely too much on your shooting, once you run out of ammo, it's hard
Barbs: Very straightforward, Good manuveurability, esp after Roc. But Limited options on how to develop your army. Very standard brute force army. Can be predictable if you don't take the effort to do tactics. |
