Authorcombat school 3?
i see in the upcoming feature, there will be a magic school 4-5 but no upgrade to combat school. i believe we should have 1 upgrade to combat school when those magic school upgrade introduced here. if not then barb would be at disadvantage later.

combat school 3 = combat school 2 but it stun all unit that got hit, not the main target only. lol i think it's a bit imbalance.

maybe not only damaging the stacks adjacent to the target, but also those these in the way of the barb when he begans to run to hit the enemy, like the magi shoot...
Magic school 3-5 only works if the player learns wisdom talent or specialises in that magic school type. If it is the same for barbarian (meaning need to learn some talents for combat sch 3) then it is not imba and seems like a good idea really.

some idea again
- increase area of the spread attack (2 tiles from main target)
- change the hero damage calculation so it will have higher min and max damage compared to other faction with the same stats (suits barb so much, PURE RAW POWER)
As an afterthought, this might encourage more players to learn thrusting might and weighty weapons too. A diversification of playing style is always good.

well, sure barb do good against chaos magic
but,
against nature magic? magic punch ignores magic resistance, besides the main spell for this magic is phantom
against holy magic? i wish my enemy cast stoneskin to me lol
against darkness magic? we get hurt a lot (from my exp against genies / senior genies). we have average speed, low armor, depends purely from damage. disrupt + delay + weakness and the stack is done for.
Those are spells from magic guild 1-3. Your proposal for combat school 3 is only because of magic guild 4-5. So you shouldn't compare it that way.

We'll see when magic guild 4-5 gets added into the game. Till then, we really can't say anything about futuristic game imbalances.

well sorry, it's just came out of my mind when i see new magic school will be introduced and no combat school mentioned there. if this topic violate the rule then admin can close this topic.
I don't think this is a good idea.

I'm not a wizard or barbarian, but barbs do get racial ability against magic. And the racial ability is quite generous. If you look at talents and arts for magic resist, they cost a lot to get any good resist % while any high faction lvl barb get the same thing for free.

Very good, and one more : to add more resistance to chaos magic and darkness magic, ^^
A useful skill for higher combat schools would be some kind of Disarming Blow, that prevents the targetted unit from retaliating until it's next turn. This would help since there's less room to split off retaliation taking units on higher levels, and against large stacks of units with 'unlimited retaliation' ability.

correction, it's already different. with the same attack and defense status barb hero will have +1 to his max damage compared to DE hero
i got an better idea each squar the barb hero runs he gain +3% damage
(3=for exsample)
