Author | Meaning of "turns"? |
In the case of holy/dark magic, 1 spell power means the spell will be in effect for 1 turn. I have always assumed that the number of turns depends on the creature it is cast upon. So, a 3-turn delay cast on a shrew would run out faster than the same spell on a demon.
Is that the case? Or is there a different way, ie, number of turns is fixed at 10 initiative, in other words, the number of the caster hero's turns. | I think your first assumption was correct. spell turn is the turns of the targeted creature. | The second one is correct. 1 turn spell duration equals the time a 10 ini unit needs to have its turn again.
From the initiative faq over in GGF:
Enduring effect spells term counter is combat turn. if it says "X turns", it still means X combat turns, or X turns of a creture with initiative 10., Post 16 | Ok, that clears my suspicions :)
Thanks Naargi for pointing out the FAQ. I suspect many people are still fooled by the actual meaning of number of turns. | closed by Kiz (2009-03-31 12:11:21) |
