Authorengineers vs mini-arts
I know that for a normal wiz ( lvl 4-5 skill lvl ), mini-arts are more important, but for me, a lvl 2 wizard ( going to 3, I have 8 more points to make ), is it better to upgrade to gremlin engineers?
i sugesatt to you first thing go hunting and working you are verry weak for a lvl 5

Laborers' guild: 2 (257) +103 ->min lvl 4

I know I'm very weak, that's why I'm asking if it'd be better right now to make engineers
Faction: min level 4.

No point on make minis when you have got a such low guild levels, just a waste of money.
And don't make engineers, expensive but no big use, save them for the future mini arts instead.
Don't make engineers, you need to learn to play with gargoyles,magi and some golems :) that's the most powerful build at your level.

Laborer guild 4??

I've always found funny that many players explain the fact that they are loosing because of their low level in some guilds.

1 more point in atk or def, most of the time, won't change anything. As you can see, I've just reached LG 4 at combat level 8, and I absolutely don't regret it.

Early levels are the most borring... The sooner you've finished with it, the better.

Concerning gremlins engineers, most of wizard will tell you that they are useless, but as I'm concerned, I think that they really worth the upgrade.

im not talking about the bonus ,laborers guild 4 meas you have worked alot and have alot of money

hunter means you got more chance to get hunter itens that cab be sold in market for money
on my multi, i switched to wiz on lv 7
i didnt get engineer, and have yet to get mini arts
he's lv 3 on wiz now

so i suggest you can skip those
i planned on getting minis only at lv 5, or if i got impatient, ill get on lv 4
in other factions like demon, necro, elf, dark elf.

they have better abilities

spawns can drain transfer mana 2 their hero(lord) but imps just make opponent's mana less.

Engineers can repair, whats your point?
Gremlins engs are suck I think .. What they can do is ONLY repair ur golems and happens once in a battle like Inflame .. :) Save for mini-arts I mean Double Mini-arts .. I think u r too fast to build mini-arts better save more money to build double mini-arts :) that is more worthy than ur single mini :)

I'm lvl 8 and I still haven't bought the upgrade for the gremlins. I'm planning on getting the upgrade after I get my triple mini arts. Not because I'll use them, but because I'm kind of a completionist and I hate seeing that building not built.

Basically what I'm saying is mini arts >>> upgrading gremlins.
A side question about mini-arts,

Do you wizards get double mini-arts immediately upon reaching faction lv4? And is it advisable to upgrade your double minis when you level up your faction? Because upgrading them seems like a waste of money :S
Yes, you can make doubles from lv4 upwards. Up to you, for some 10% loss is not much but for some its a lot of money.

That is a very tough question to answer. Obviously when the upgrade is 1attack/1defense or something like that it is not really worth it. I would say that upgrading is worth it after 2 new faction levels or in the case you can get an important stat boost [ best example is faction level 8 when you can upgrade from +2 luck/morale to +3 luck/morale, that upgrade is huge and definitely worth the money ]. However if someone is not very rich i would say it is best to upgrade even slower than every 2 faction levels.
It's up to you. I got the best at faction lvl 4 when I was combat lvl 5. After that I upgraded once my gargs and golems. Now I'm saving money to get my triple mini arts when I hit faction lvl 7.

Decent mini arts is enough for pvm, but if you want to compete in tournaments and pvp, get the best.
i actually didn't play wizard for a long time but imho gremlin engineers are really useful against elves. They might not deal huge amount of damage (especially if you're mage build) but they
a) may wipe out 1-3 elven bowmen before they can even shoot (because of 11 ini and maybe ini + att + luck artifact if you can afford that too)
b) get a bowmen hit which means your magi will even live longer (or the opposite - your magi gets hit and your gremlins can kill another 1-3 bowmnen if there are any survivors)
c) use them to defend/block against caravans/enemy's stacks (because 11 ini, cheap and not that nessecary so you can isn't something you get the easy with wizard other than with gremlins)
i think a second "dangerous" troop is very useful on pvp
it confuses the enemy and the more damage you can deal at first turns the better
an attack that comes in waves due to huge differences in speed/ini may be wiped out wive by wave (you can see that on many lvl 5-7 knights who first run through with their griffs and when swords finally reach the enemies lines their griffs and bowmen are already dead and the enemy can kill the swords without huge tactical problems)
so imho i would by GE (and yes i did so too when i was wizard) because i think they are worth it
but if it's not your playing style just stick to mini-arts and forget about grems
and i don't request that my idea is the most efficient, against some opponents it may still be best idea to just stick with max hp, gargs and golems and then magi
