only the european type. there is also an african type. only slight differences.
Breeding hedgehogs is VERY hard. The females (not unlike humans) are quite tempramental when it comes to breeding habits.
Most interesting story: in the wild enemies of hedgehogs (such as the fox) will urinate on the hedgehog to make them open up from their ball, then eat them. of course then they are eating a urinated on meal, but hey, you do what you got to do right? |
