Well, it depends on what you got for your necro army. The make-up of the army varies.
Remember that the number of skeleton archers will replenish and even increase each time due to simulated raise deads after battle if you don't kill them all off one-shot.
Take out the stack that you find the most troublesome for you, most people try to remove the apparitions first so they don't need to face them again on their second or third try. Asa wiz, maybe you shoudl try to take the vamps out with your golems and gargs sine they cannot drain them, so leave your magis to take out as many stacks of apparitions and zombies as possible to reduce their numbers. Don't stand too close to each other due to liches' plague shot, spread out so the enemy doesn't group their attacks together and take out one of your own stacks fast.
Your hero's magic is key, use him to blast away to maximum efficiency since you're the biggest damage dealer.

Really? I have seen Infected siwtched out for normal zombies and Counts switched out for normal vamps... Else usually all tiers are represented.

| you should not target apps first in your case, as you have mid low faction level and your arrow should only kill about 8 or 9 apps. They will double up of whats left each time they drain your magis. |

Althoug I didn't mention it, this could cost you the whole thing when you get more difficult quests.
Remember this: You are the main damage dealer not your troops. Your troop's main job in PvE is to survive so you could cast as many arrows as possible. What you did wrong in that battle is you listened to Takesister's advice and charged your golem to the center of the field and was vurnurable for attacks from all 4 stacks of Vamp and app.

Ignore the part that I was out of my mind didn't even see the liches and spread out my magis so 3 got killed in 1 shot. I did the mistake not putting Golems in the corner so Apps can't reach in 2 turns but I moved golems to the cornor after first turn so they are only exposed to 1 stack of vampires only. That will save one precioius cast. Also NEVER use gargs to fight melee units, its like suicide. Fly your gargs when the apps are in reach of a magi(coz if they are not, they will come for gargs) away trying to killed the ranged units. This will also save you one turn to cast another spell. Also I really suggest you to to take slightly more gargs to quests and hunts, again because you are the main damage dealer not your troops.
As for magis you could spread them out a bit more. Liches only hit the target and the creatures around the target, so keep some distance and spread magis as much as possible to add damage. This will also save you some time. |
