Would it not be VERY simple to change the transfer process so that people would not be able to transfer more than 30% of their wealth? It would be a very simple calculation to make?
This would save the admins time as they would no longer have to respond to posts in the CaA forum about this.
It would make players happier as the honest ones would no longer be at a disadvantage.
It would make the CaA forum quieter so that real cheats would be more likely to be dealt with. |
can be implemented but if any player uses his more than 30% of his wealth for paying for any service or buying any item then it can't be consider cheating so no point of having 30% limit |
This is not a most common kind of cheating. I dont really understand why they cannot technically block the users from sending/ recieving items and gold from the same IP. That should make the 90% of cheaters stop, because I dont see all 13 year old kids finding ways to hide the IP. |
yeah, just 1 account / person
and voila youre done |

I think that's best, but this would make it hard for those who would like to try out other factions for fun. Instead of 1 account/person, how about limiting the actions of multis like low levels are. Multis or additional accounts from the same IP can be restricted to be unable to transfer. This would solve most of the multi cheating.

Can be implemented if transfer options are expanded upon, so that paying for services or buying any items would include the payment in the same transaction. And to avoid those "buying" 1 wood for 10k gold, game restrictions can be placed on the value of all items. Maybe wood would be valued at 185 gold +/- 50%. So you cannot pay 400gold for 1 wood. |
So you cannot pay 400gold for 1 wood.
or 999 for a round shield either
but how do you set values for hunter and thief items? their alleged (shop) price is pretty much useless, and we're not going by that are we? |

Well for those, then a static large range can be made. For example minimum sell value is the amount shop price and maximum could be 200,000 gold.
Otherwise admins can use statistics to find out those who buy/sell well below/above average market prices and then flag them for further inspection. |
Anyway getting back to the topic. I doubt players would need to transfer as much as 30% that often anyway. The rule only counts the primary resources and gold, so it's not that difficult to calculate out.
To make calculations easier, I just add all the resources up (wood, ore, leather are divided by 2), then *369 then add that to my gold. |
Um, what about paying for repairs? If a repair costs me 3000 gold, and I only have 6000 gold, this would keep me from getting my item repaired... |

Would work if my post #5 is done where transfer options are expanded upon so we can send repair costs along with the art to be repaired. |

Problem is not the 30% rule alone, but the 30% rule MONTHLY. And of sudden, it becomes a lot more complicated to compute. |
As the rules stand it is impossible to accurately calculate it. The rules don't specify what is a month (when it starts and where it ends). Also since your gold changes throughout the "month", then the calculation would be off. |
