It wouldnt let me post on other one thanks to the to long since last post message but anyways i figured we can put barb units + talents to use per level
Level 1:
No talents, as much on wolf rider as possible.
Level 2:
No talents, as much on wolf rider as possible.
Level 3:
No talents, as much on orc as possible, then wolf rider.
Level 4:
No talents, as much on orc as possible, then wolf rider.
Level 5:
+1 luck fortune.
All on orc, followed by ogre then hobos/hobgoblins.
Level 6:
Basic offence + battle fury.
All on orc, followed by ogre then hobos/hobgoblins.
---- Cant say for rest... not even sure my level 5/6 is right lol ---
Level 7:
Level 8:
Level 9: |
Level 5 : thrusting might .. :)
Level 7 : basic offense and battle fury
Level 8 : Rally
Level 9 and up : not know .. :) |

nothing beats basic offense and battle fury for barbs.
once you taste it, everything else is nothing :p |

lvl 5: Basic offense, or thrusting might
lvl 6: Basic offense battle fury
Lvl 5-6, as much hobs(hobgoblins) as possible, then orcs after that, ogres. Try to lower wolf riders. They are not usefull if you have hobs. |
| well, i got thrusting might, basic offense then weighty weapons. the outcome is that it deals good damage. very good for barbarians.lvl 9 then will put battle fury. |

I believe you shoul go with HobGob. Their numbers makes them last longer and makes them an impact longer in the battle. That is the decisive factor for me. They've won me many battles.
On Level 7 I've been playing with the talents:
basic leadership and Rally. From now on I will tru Basic Off and Battle Fury, but I'm not convinced its a good idea |
rally is pretty useless for barb due to low hp troops...
basic offense + battle fury is A MUST for barbs... since that u can choose other combinations, but that 2 r just imprecindible... |

i need help with my thieving :(
i don't know what's wrong with my strategy, but i've lost 4 in a row now.
against necro -> i can't handle their raising + their vampires are sucking my unit's blood easily without retaliation
against DE -> it's a race about who killed most between my units vs their magic (yes, their magic still hurts) and shrews :(
these 2 faction irritate me the most. other faction are hard too, but not as hard as these 2
it's probably about my equipment, but i don't think equipping 2 morale rings for completing TG1 is worth it. i don't equip any shoes because the only shoes i can equip is leather shoes (+1 def), not much difference IMO. and the weapon i equip is reprisal sword, maybe i should change it to sword of retribution or equilibrium blade, but i'm saving for sword of might.
about my troop setup, i begin lost my faith in hob. they are excellent for hunt or duel because you can set them up so they will hit without retaliated while we can't control it in ambush because every unit can hit their enemy in 1st turn. i need a strategy to use them better in thieving |

| Barbars aren't so balanced faction with others why? They units are from homm3 only made some changes in stats. So get used to it that thief is hard to them, but not impossible. |

Sorry I didn't think about it. IMO you are doing OK. Barb is not strong at thieving after all yet you still won about 2/3 of all the battles. That's quite acceptable. |
thief is all right for barb in lvl 7 .
tahn you skip lvl 8 :) on lvl 9 its quite good :) and it's damn good on lvl 10 :) |
