i delay in a battle .. but the monster still has the same turn in the same place .. and thats anoyying ...
can anybody tell me why??? plss |
it has to do with your darkness magic talent level. With no talent, the effect of the delay is not that great.
That explains how much the darkness magic talents affect the spells.

delay only changes the speed with which a stack accumulates initiative. If the creatures turn is already close to come next you will not notice much difference. The next turn of that stack will be much later though. |
ah then its effect apears one turn later? |
4: yes, u can see it in hunts where many stacks of the same type take their turns together, but when u delay one, then you see the delayed stack take its next turn much later. But the Spell should have at least a spellpower of 1 to show the full effect. |
actually, it depends on the original initiative: a creature with a very high initiative to whom you apply a strong delay spell, will immediately drop back. This is because its advancement on the ATB is strongly affected by its initiative, that is accumulating very fast. on The opposite, a slow creature receiving a weak dealy spell won't move on the actual ATB, but yes, later its turns will take longer to arrive.
To have a creature drop back instantly, you will need a strong wasp swarm spell or a dominion of tempest talent and an air spell an air spell (or something of the sort). This kind of spells don't act on the actual initiative parameter, but reduce accumulated initiative of the target. |
