Will someday, almost all Top Players will become dark elf?
In your opinion, how high will be the record of dark elf race dominate top 100 players? |

The reasons why a lot of people in top100 are DE are rather simple...
The way the game is made at the moment, no matter what class you are, sooner or later hunts become impossible. PvP is scarce on high level and you cannot count on PvP to fill your time since you can usually get games for a few hours per day. Mercenary quests follow the HG pattern except raids and monsters that offer considerably more fights before they become impossible.
The only thing that gets easier when you lose and harder when you win at the moment is thieving. It's the only thing that you can theoretically do forever with decent amount of success. And since DE ( and after level 11-12 also demons ) are the best factions for that, its easy to expect that a lot of wizards,necros,barbarians will switch to DE for this.
Same thing happens in .ru for long time now. That doesn't really mean that all those players are gonna play DE forever. It's just the best faction to play on everyday routine ( very strong creatures - exceptional usage of enchanted weapons - fast battles that end on 2-3 turns most of the time ).
Also what SpecialOne said in post 5 helps a lot. It's quite easy to switch to DE and since TG gives 1 skill /win its easy to get good faction also, rather fast. |

Don't look at Faction Statistic because it's include all players.
The Faction Statistic include players that join from the very first time and have no clue which race they should play.
I myself choose Elf because I like elf, without knowing how elf's performance in this game.
After I know this game, the race I like is Demon and Barbarian.
Also this topic discuss about DE characteristic that make most top 100 players choose DE when they switch faction, not about most all player's preferences. |

1 major point in switching to de are also the distinct special abbilities of their creatures.
shrews with no retal and return, together with great ini and speed is surely the best tier 2 unit in the game
minos only have guaranteed 3 moral, but upgrade has 2 attacks, thats pretty decent.
lizzardcharge is a very powerful feature, since you can reduce opponents defens by 100%, this abbility becomes more powerful with higher lvl (since better arts can be worn). And uppgrade get even another strong abbility (lizzard assault)on top off that
Finally hydras might be a little slow but no retal combined with broad attack (in this case 6 fields are attacked) is pretty strong as well. |

for DE it is easy to progress. a lot of xp in hunts, ambushes etc. i gave up my main necro character 'cause i would need months to collect enough money to - switch to dark elf :D
my multi already had all the DE buildings, so i just continued to play with her.
and now from first hand i can say that this game is just not fair. necro struggles.. knight too i guess. wizard - never enough money..
only DE can progress so easily. i get white circles in hunt all the time. i win more than 80% ambushes. i can move around on the map with full arts and spoil other people's ambush (to get literally free xp)

ok, that is true.. i switch from DE to demon and back all the time..
still i progress much faster as DE. that was my point. what is white circle in hunt for DE, is often record for other races (exception - elf). elf is good in that sense too |
| Yeahh coz they can strike and run with no retal .. But I think Knights with royal griffins can do that too .. as long as the Griffins can do batteldive and batteldive .. the point why a faction can break record is there are many high inits troops that have a lot of damages and no retaliations .. :) |
