Author | help in choosing faction |
well ty very much everyone.
Ill use all the things u said and ill choose what faction will I be.
thx again ^_^ |
By the way: shrews are good, but everyone will target them in group or mercenaries guild or hunt or... they will do damage, but not for long |
and so do magi, orcs, crosbowmen, elvenbowmen and so far. |
I was a knight, I had a strategy but it didn't work well against Necros, Demons, or anything with large amounts of magic(wizard) so I turned into a necro hoping it would help, but in the end... I kept on losing, then I changed my strategy completely. That proves how different strategys work with different factions... I can share strategys for knight and Necros, Oh and I think everyone's mana is the same in recovering, some factions don't even have mana untill around rank five... If you are really desperate about mana, I suggest you use a mana tube... |
Choose knights or DE.
Knights are have good troops(grifs, liveable swordsmen), and X-bowmen are deal on 8+ levels(6+ if you use real money) over 2000 damage onto neutral creatures. |
so u say that strategy = power
well its true.
what castle has the most casters or with the highest initiative? |
i would say think carefully before changing faction
Knight/necro: faction lvl determines number of troops/skele
Demon: more gating units
Barb: more resistance to magic
elves: more favored enemy
If you want to develop factions, choose one of five above
DE piercing magic is not that useful, u can always change to DE when u reach lvl 8 :) especially for thief quests |
elves: more favored enemy
For elves faction level isnt important
Only a few extra % to get double damage on 1 specific monster |
Only a few extra % to get double damage on 1 specific monster
Really? Whn will I taste the power with 0 fact point, 4% =P |
Ooops, I mean 5% |
how can you say that faction points are not important for elves? when kiaune was elf -(shame she/he fell to the dark side)- she/he had 5+4*8=37% no it's not worth it to have 4 extra luck |
Magic is broke for all factions except wizards on higher levels. Without wiz skill bonus hunts and mercs are impossible, and changin build just for PvP is expensive. If you prefer ini and attack go DE or demon, if you prefer magic more then stay. Although as said we recommend you to stay wiz, its fairly easy to change to DE at higher levels. (well, if you play wizard you will need it anywyas to do thieving) |
Honestly I have to ask, I have 2 knowledge + 2 spell and really do not know when to use Disrupt and Delay .. I mean .. How to combine them ??
Coz before this I am always be without magic and only know how to use disrupt .. :) plzz ur advices .. thx a lot .. :) |
some myths around here flying around...
DE is a cheating and easy faction even without the shrews. the rogues are almost as good and fast enough to do hellova plenty of damage. so no, even without shrews they are easy to play with. no tactics no nothing. wear full (enchanted maybe?) arts and the victory is granted.
elves might be fun, but on level 9 they are bad. on the russian server i hated them. hardly could win any ambush, even when i was with full arts and what not, but later on they compensate with fantom magic.
demons for me is the most interesting faction, they are for the real tactician around here, for some people it might look like chaos and swarming on the battlefield, but a real true blood demon controls the chaos, and can win almost an impossible battle with minimum arts.
necro ? well on the contrary to the common belief, necros raise dead is not their strength, but it is their weakness. people who rely on raising dead instead of tactics of destroying the opponent would probably loose to almost any faction in which a player actually knows what he's doing instead of just raising their fallen.
knight - well just as much as DEs are based on shrews, the knights even more are based on their X-Bows. and if you have a really good faction skill, it's even better. just have about 90 X-Bows on level 9, bless them, wear a luck amulet, and... bang 1500 damage each shot.
wizards - well they are an interesting faction, because most of the damage they make, comes from the hero, and the annoying part is that you must invest all of your life's savings into the mini-arts. high level wizards payed well over 2 millions for their mini arts. their own artifacts cost almost double of their own level non magic equivalents... if you got the money and the time, you'll be a winner. a stack of enchanted gargoyles with +8 attack +8 defense +1 speed will take you a long way. but it's a long way to get to that level in the 1st place..
barbs... hmm well i love them. play with them on .ru... awesome faction. max out the attack, and nothing will stop you :) but that's just my personal opinion :) |
I have no idea all of the factions sounds so great and interesting to play with...
Well, does any1 know what is probably the strongest faction? |
i like being a demon, its fun swarming in on ur opponent.
but i have trouble against elves, theykill me before gtting to the other side of the feild |
if u like to attack with double damage..
try elf.. critical damage+ luck damage= destructive power
that if u have lot of luck and ur racial point are high
i think elf is fun |
all of the factions are good in their own way
Dark Elf - low health numbers with strong attacks. You need heaps of attack with these.
Elf - Uses initiative more than most things.
Demon - Gating and having heaps of people. But they arnt that stong with attacks.
Wizard - Good at defense and you need heaps of mana to do stuff though.
necro - Good at bring guys back from dead. But u also need strategy.
Knight - good at defense.
Barb - what i like, they are good at just smashing anything that moves. |
...
I love a lot of creatures that can cast spells.
I like high initiative and a lot of troops.
I like high attack more then high defense and a lot of shooters.
this is my style... |
man u wont find that in HOMM but closest to that are barbs -high initiative and a lot of troops ,high attack more then high defense and a lot of shooters |
