Well, dear mods, I have a question for you: where is the logic to let a full thread with floods untouched and to kill the floods from another thread which is similar to the first? I know is off topic (and I apologize for that), but, please, enlighten me.

I've seen nothing of a full thread with floods untouched. If you refer to "5000 messages w00t" one, I ensure you there has been some serious banning within. Some went through unscathed only because their messages were in line with the thread title.
At least that's my understanding since I can't speak for other mods.
