Ru has undergone a couple of changes the last 2 weeks. Check the "everything about RU" thread in the Off-Game forum.

Take ... just question ... are admins really looking into a substitute of Arctic? Are they really willing to continue promoting .com?
Not sure you can answer these qustions, but I know many players here have similar doubts ...
I am patient .. but I also spent some money in diamonds ... and would like to see changes happening ... many other on-line games have more regular updates and even w/o payments... probably it would be time to get sponsors (ads) for the game that could pay for a proper team to work together with the team in .ru ...

sadly, looks like admins doesnt bother too much abouth us, and mods cant do anythin beyond his/her job. How many time it will take before this server derives in anarchy...?
seriously, we REALLY need a substitute for Arctic and some other one for lexa, who is online almost 24h in .ru but looks like he thinks than comin here once per year is enough... |

lol, it will take more than a post to trying to explain whats anarchy ;), it was more like a way of talkin...
i wanted to say that ppl doesnt care a bit about rules, its happenin already: plenty of cheaters unpunished (even at higher lvls), ppl arrangin tourneys with price without aproval (thats logical though, if anyone here to do the aproval :P), ppl stakin on battles... |
I really don't know. With Arctic gone, no updates for 2 months...
I'm kind of scared to continue here, and want to move to .ru just so I know the game is still alive and growing. |
u can bet that if i could understand a bit of russian i was not goin to play here for sure...
anyway, this server, as an international one, has A LOT more potential than russian one, but ofc, what do u expect without ads, updates and maintenance...? |

I know that Admins have some difficulties in English, and that is one of the reason why they can't update this server frequently.
But...Why don't they make a committee (or something like that) here in LordsWM.COM, consist of some Russian players who can speak English quite well to help them with the translation ? I know for sure, that some Russian players in this server can speak English very well.
For their efforts, Admins can give gratitude (gold, or even diamond).
Benefits for these players.
1. They will be given compensation for their efforts
eg: 10 diamonds / month -> or case based when it is needed
(or maybe per updates ??)
2. By helping Admin to translate the game, they bring updates in .COM
and of course, they can have fun and enjoy the updates too.
3. For showing respect to these players, Admin can make a special forum
section called "Hall of Fame" (whatever), and have their name listed there.
(or maybe a sticky Topic in "Gratitudes and congratulations" is enough)

| There are lot of players who are willing and capable, this wont happen. Its not a problem of "how to do it" but "we, administration dont want to do it". Favourite explanation is they are afraid that someone would copy and steal their game code. But there are tasks which need attention without any programming abilities which are ignored. Sure, Shebali and Kotrin took care of tavern violations pretty well. But still few things need Arctic. |
I feel the same that this place is being neglected but the demand just isn't there like the Russian server. I don't know why this game hasn't caught on because it's by far the best free online game I've.
However, for some reason, i still enjoy playing on this server better than the Russian one. |

| If u just spend some hours reading already existing topics, u would see a lot of them just like this, so i think it makes no sense to create them, go play, create battles, fight even then when ur chances r weak, the most important thing is that even if someone wants to play that game he would spend much time just siiting n waiting for a challenge, only few fighting. There r always about 1000 players online, lets be more active, enter clans, create clan fights by ourselves, and the game would become more interesting!!!! No need to sit here n create useless topics like this. Go play!!! Do something by urself. |

because when they have an admin as soon as he is admin he has all rights to look into the source code and therefore can steal every afford they made to have this game running
so i really understand why admins are carefully and patient until they find someone they really can trust since a wrong person can wreck everything they have invested in in minutes |

Come on, this is not the way to protect your work, this may fill in '90, not now! Free games, free software, free code. OpenOffice is far better then Office, and the project started with reverse-code from it!
Smart russian guys that are thinking like the worst supporters of copyrights? I don't believe it!
IF anyone decide to COPY this game, it's far than possible. Plus for a decent programmer that played this game few months, it should be easy to program something like lordswm from the beginning. Don't forget that lords was "ispired" from another game.
The RESOURCE the admins should have to protect are their dedicated communities. Both, those who are playing on .ru and .com.
I'm quite sure there are people who are trying to "copy" this game somewhere. If I had some programming abilities I should probably start to code my game too. But lords has a big advantage from his theoretical competitors. The project started on .ru server more than 2 years ago. It seems to me they are hardly trying to lose their advantage... |
