| Shoot the bowmen and when swords come near use 1 wolf to take retal and attack MELEE with the rest of the wolves and orcs, it is very easy to beat knights. |

The vanguard of course seeks to kill the farmers over any other thing. Set up so your wolves and rocs don't get hit on the first round by the griffons. You can see that the farmers will be able to take one shot from a bowmen stack.Shoot the one stack with orcs right away. Weaken the outside stack of griffins with rocs so that they can reach the final stack of bowmen before their second shot. High arts are a must, including two signet rings for the higher level missions. Don't forget to move one troop stack in front of the farmers so the remaining rocs cant kill them.
Now you have only the slow guardians. Don't waste time shooting them after they advance to where you will engage them.The orc shots and cyclops do weak damage because of the large shield the guardians carry. Move them to hand to hand. In lower battles, I was able to advance wolves and draw them back but at higher levels, the griffin stacks are too big to do that.
If you place your wolves and orcs to the back side of the guardians, away from the farmers, and leave a space for the guardians to advance on the farmers, they will ignore your wolves and orcs and move to the farmers, striking whatever stack you have at the place they travel to.
This way your wolves survive for at least another two rounds. Do not surround the guardians on your first round of attack or they will kill your wolves. You have to leave a hole for them to think they can reach your farmers.
I did have ogre magi to help at this level but it is vanguard 21 and this strategy works no matter what level you try, until at last you can no longer win because of the troop levels. Have fun and good luck. I am sure there may be other strategies and if there are, please share them here. |

Any tips for me for winnning any duel and to level? I am level 5 and getting pwned all the time... its really frustrating at 1-4 I owned THEM.

| Your report is about bad played battle, not about "strong ogres", sorry. Ogres are good, sometimes better than wolves or orcs, but generaly wolves and orcs are better for "all" battles. |

Unless a wizard goes fullllll might, and i mean fulllll, with slightly better arts and best mini arts, they've got no chance against barbarians.

Talent I suggest basic offense+battle fury because it does it's work nicely.

| In pvp I recommend to minimize the wolves. At least that is my experience with the barbarians at level 6 (I beat the barbarian with wolves, I got beaten by the barbarian without wolves). |
i've just turn lvl 6 and my talents are basic offence and battly fury.
also my recuiting should it be hobgoblins, orges. orcs then wolfs |
