I sometimes change between minos and rouges... If I choose 19 minos, I still have 5 rouges, but when I choose 17 rouges I still get a reasonable 10 minos too! So maybe 17 rouges is better... Just my opinion...

Depends on what opponent you face. I used max rogues in 80% of hunts, but for some ranged units, it's better to have more HP in your hands... Also, max Minos is usefull, when you need to hold on as long as you can and use magic to strike the opponent...

Is magic build that powerful in my level? And will I be able to afford it (I only got 7k gold)...?

8k gold is sure not enough ... to know exactly how much you need, you must find best arts at your level and sum up their prices. Magic DE costs way more then might DE.

if im not wrong u need 40k for whole set without rings. but then, i won 70-80% of my froup battles n mostly MVP of the match, i'd say its worth it.

anyways i just done some shooter hunts n always left with 1 minos o.0, close matches. anyways how r other lvl 6 DE with shrews doing, since u guyz cant get tactics anymore how do u guys win those battles? (skel bows, orcs NOT gremlins)
what talents should i choose when i lvl 5 soon?
for a mage i would recommend erudition but i nvr tried a warrior DE lvl 5

As the others already said, 8k gold is not enough. Go into Artifact shop and check the prices for the artifacts... And yes, magic DE at lvl6 is stronger then might DE, at least for PvPs...
are they high chances for lvl 8 might DE win in blinford tournament ?
if yes, what is the tactics ?

normally DE will be attacked first than other factions.
I need help/advice.

I am playing a level 8 spellcasting and fully equiped DE (Note: I have no wish to change to might and/or min arted DE). Since the changes to the ambush maps I am getting utterly crushed in thief ambushes e.g after ambushing demon caravans 4 times I am still losing badly and quickly. I don't even have time to use half my spellpoints.

If it is a case where my battle tactics are poor, some suggestions by my fellow level 8 DEs would be appreciated.

Right now I am feeling very frustrated with some of these recent changes i.e. the very short notice of the TGI changes just before my exams coupled with the impossible combats mean't I had no chance to be compensated with a TGI at TG level 2. Then there is the cost of my wasted arts in battles I can't win.

I also have other issues to vent, but I'm ranting. Some advice on thieving on the revised ambush maps would be appreciated.

for warrior49: Good point - you must be passive to win this tournament :-( I learned my lesson at lvl 9.

of course it is always better not to fight your same faction because you do less damage
the problem in this tournament, though, is that 2-3 fighters group before the beginning of the fight so it is not a real blindfold fight where everybody fights for itself
It would have been much more interesting if we had tournament for teams 3x3.
I started playing this game a long time ago but left right after summer vacation ended.... Anyway, I am only level 4 DE and I understand how retaliation works but I didn't do that well in this battle: (https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=485113268)

So I was wondering what I mainly did wrong and what I should improve on...
Ok I have checked and added up all the parameters I will have once I have bought all the arts that I wish to buy (which will total roughly 20k gold) and this is the result:

Attack: 5
Defence: 4
Spell Power: 5
Knowledge: 4
Luck: 1
Morale: 1

If I have the talents Basic Sorcery and Conclealed Knoweldge, then I would get my turn 10% faster when I cast a spell (which would be all the turns) and I would also reduce the mana for Magic Arrow to 3.2 which I assume will be rounded to 3. I will gain additional 3 spells because of that which the damage will total to (24+8*5=) 64 per turn which in total of all turns equals 832 damage.

I could choose those talents or I could choose Basic Chaos Magic and get the total damage of (32+8*5=) 72 per turn which in total equals 720 damage of all turns with magic.

But maybe the battle will not last 12+ turns so I could do more damage with Basic Chaos Magic, or if the battle lasts over 11 turns then I could do more damage with the other two talents...

Which is better for me? Or should I wait until level 7 so I get more artifacts with knowledge and spell power? Would it be worth 20k gold?

In my opinion, Magic DE good for PvP and MG at lv.6, Might DE good at HG and TG.

For hunt i suggest u use Basic Sorcery and Mana Recovery, cause it will last long. (Each turn, u get 1 mana from talent)

For PvP i suggest u use Basic Sorcery and Elemental Call cause almost all cases, u wont be able to spend all of ur mana using normal spell.

U should try which suit better with u. :D

4 knowledge is too much. You can forget to cast a magic arrow 13 times! Even with elemental call I wouldn't go with 4... You should transfer that 1 point to SP, cause it's very important for you to have 7 SP (you can easily kill wall of druids with spikes /36damage). With 3 knowledge you can still cast 2 spikes and 5 arrows... (believe me that in almost every combat spikes come in handy) Remember that it's not all about pure mathematic as you calculated, cause the units you kill at the beginning can't hurt you anymore :) It's better to strike harder at the beggining and run out of mana at the end.
