Authorrude message from MG even if one is successful
Hi,

Never cared too much about the messages from the MG. I know that in case of losing a MG errand, there are pretty rude messages, but I didn't expect the same behaviour in case of winning a quest. The following message sounds like the MG takes you for a beggar:

Back for your reward? Here it is, come back for new quests!

Not that it counts too much for anything, but if I heard that for a job I do in real life, for sure I wouldn't come back to the same employer. :)

Cheers
It wouldn't ask you to come back for new quests so enthusiasticly if they were being rude :D
I don't think it's a "problem" per se.

But it's really how you see that line. If the Merc Guild Guy tells you as you walk in the door "Back for your reward? Here it is, come back for new quests!" with a smile, runs over and hands you your bag of gold with a pat on your back, it's good and fine courtesy, isn't it?

I'm quite sure you're taking it that the Merc Guild Guy is sneering at you as you walk in the door and saying "Back for your reward?", shakes his head, mutters something about vagabonds and baths before tossing a few coins on the floor in front of you and saying "Here it is, come back for new quests!" and muttering curses as you leave.

But it need not be seen that way. At least he is not calling you to pick up your reward from fire-sales after you fail..
Well a mercenary does the dirty killing job solely for money, so he doesn't deserve any respect :P
I actually find it funny when you fail, and personally wouldn't mind if the Guildmaster would be a bit more snide.

Thin about it, he has to deal with dirty rotten lords of every faction coming in, demanding rewards, asking for quests. Monsters, vagabonds, armies are attacking daily, and that's just a stressing job. So if he got a bit more snide and snippish, I wouldn't mind.
what do you know I just got the same comment:)
never cared about what they say after a successful or failed quest, in fact, haven't even read the comments for a long long time ... doesn't really make a difference.

agree, i only look for the part where they give me an element
I think it is more confusing when you fail. The docs say you should report the status back to the guild, but the guild guy is like "Why did you even come back here?"
if you click twice quickly the message never appears only the countdown
They are nor sure about purpose of your visit. They remember your face but not sure when they saw it. So they ask that question to be sure not to give gold to first stranger.

thats because the server sends both the page where you get your reward, and then the subsequent one which just says you have no quest and need to wait x minutes, you only receive the second page telling you have no quests because you interupted the connection of receiving the first page (By clicking on it again and requesting a new page for mercenaries guild)
If you find that to be a rude message, you should probably avoid 90% of what the internet has to offer.

Perhaps you could try and learn not to be so easily offended? It would seem that you find even positive comments to be rude or insulting.

Have Fun
