Roulette is just random.
Because of 0 and 00 numbers, the odds of winning are below 50%. It means that on the long run, on average, players will lose when playing roulette. Game theory also states that facing unbalanced odds, one should play as little as possible. You may find yourself lucky with a few bets, but the longer you play the likely you'll end beaten.
If you check this character (casino, https://www.lordswm.com/pl_info.php?id=10 ... Note it's a demon ^_^) you'll see that roulette doesn't bring much gold in the end. After one year and half of existence, one could have imagined that casino gains would be enormous, but it's just above 3 millions.
I wonder why admins added roulette in this game. Perhaps as a mean of testing some randomizer, or drawing the attention of gambler-addicts (by chance, with an imaginary gold currency). But roulette isn't Evil, for sure. |
If I am not wrong (but you can adjust my calculations with the right number), straight bets are paid back 35 times ...
Now, there are other possibilities to play (red and black, dozens, corners, etc., but the odds are similar) ...
So, I have 1/38 chance to win 35 times back ... Now, assume everybody play on all numbers the same amount, say 1000 gold ... roulette will take 38000 and give back 36000 ... for a net income of 2000 (or 2000/38000 = about 5%)
This means that after a long time of bets, casino wins about 5% of the bets ... there is no luck/destiny/fate/faith involved ... casino will win!!! |
