[News] Enchaters' Guild changes

Author[News] Enchaters' Guild changes
So there definately are negative effects you are unaware of.

Oh? Hmm.. I can't think of any..

Like? :)
Like the simple fact that income of elements have raised only a little and the cost of maximum enchants(that everyone is obsessed with) has been raised to..well 240 elements for 1 4x10% weapon and armorers and jewellers are bummed because their customers are saving for weapons instead.

Or the simple fact that you have to save elements for years to match the older players` enchanted weapons, because they have created them with the old rules thus the gap while fighting an old player is well..+100% damage. I dont know if you have ever fought someone with more than +100% enchanted damage, but it was not as fun as previously indicated.

You should see the bad with the good. And all of us should take the bad with the good. Sadly there is no other way.
Oh? Hmm.. I can't think of any..

Says the one with 4x10% sword and 9,10,9 composite bow.. :-)
Hmm seems that now, enchanters do not have to waste too much gold as before .. :( I like this update, but not the Thieves Guild killing .. :)
#22

Of course I try to see the bad with the good, but I was actually referring to the latest enchanting guild changes announced earlier today, -

https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1869014

and not the earlier one - requiring x3 the elements for enchanting.

Of course, it's pretty obvious that a lot of players probably don't like those changes. :)

?? And how did you know I have those!? Hmmm... double hmm even... :)
To add,

with the x3 rules,

- those trying to build up their enchanting guilds would find it even harder to get orders coz players wanting to do enchanting would be put off by the fact that what they used for say, 5% enchanting, would be lost forever if they want to do 10 % later on.

- max enchanters were looking at a bleak future with very few potential orders, since the cost needed for 4*10% max enchant is obscene.

Now, with this new update,

- players trying to build up their enchanting guild would have orders from players who wants to slowly build on their enchanted art. They can do 5% now, save up more, and do another 1-2%, and ju7st pay the element difference. Though there would be some comparative loss (the additional +1 element for upgrading an enchanted art), it's still negligible compared to losing all the elements previously used.

- max enchanters would get at least some orders instead of a bleak future, as players wanting to upgrade their enchanted arts would have to go to them.

Win-win situation for all, no? At least I think so anyway. :)
I still don't get it :) Now if I would ask :

How much will be "ALL" the cost to enchant [E10A10W10F10] ?

I mean, with all the elements needed?
alot:
30 meteor shard
30 toadstool

30 fire crystal
30 tiger claw

30 ice crystal
30 viper venom

30 moonstone
30 abrasive
so it will take 240 hrs to finish it?
for Mr_eee:
Yes, 240 hours.
Win-win situation for all, no? At least I think so anyway. :)
^^ Maybe not for all but for most ppl inc. new enchanters.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
