It is recommended, but if you really feel that you want to fight in group battles and other forms of battles, we can't stop you. | | doing group battles, you will fast get level 5. So if you are gonna do group battles (GBs) to level up fast, you probably won't have the necessary gold when you get to level 5. And since your HG is low due to your speedy leveling, your hourly income will also be much less compared to other players of that level.
Also, since hunting (HG) and labor guilds (LG) give bonuses when you level up in them, you will be comparatively weaker than most other level 5s who have much higher LG and HG, etc. | Typo -

May I suggest that you increase your Combat Level slower rather than faster. You need to get all your Laborer Guild and your Racial Skill advanced too so you will be ready for the challenges ahead. If you increase your Combat Level up faster than your Laborer Guild and your Racial Skill, you'll be at a disadvantage when you reach Level 5 and above.
Enjoy each level and play to the best of your ability. Then when you reach Levels 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and above you'll be a mighty force to be reckoned with and have enough Gold to buy those much needed Artifacts at higher levels.
