i bought my TGI from market.
no renting, no diamonds, and i'm a thief...thieving is not only for diamonds users. |

Just a little correction. When you count free TGIs, you have to take TG4 players and substract TG0-2 thiefs, it gives 555-296=259 extra tgis instead of diamond bought in the game.
The approximation is quite rough because I don't know the number of thieves with 0 points in TG and the number of blocked TGI holders. |

i still fail to see the problem.
Anybody who rented a TGI and couldn't return has still the possibility to give the lender an amount of gold close to the market price, prior accord, and thus actually buy the given TGI. Selling isn't forbidden, so both player are safe.
Let's say the truth: what's the point of having a TGI in your pocket anyway, now that you can't lend it any more?
Once you are in TG, you will stay.
And those who want to keep one for future speculation, can still buy it from the market -there are a few for sale.. |
@28: as kotrin pointed out in 9, unless the rentee is willing/can afford to buy a TGI and return it appropriately, their outcome is fairly certain, given the updates
and from what we've heard/seen, most players can't repay that debt in gold due to various reasons, therefore the long & short of it is - they're screwed |

| TGI is on market for now. But ongoing supply will depend on the ratio of people buying TGI for gold and then not making TG5 (reducing supply) and people buying into TG with diamonds and then getting invite at TG5 (increasing supply). Personally, I think the reducing will outpace the increasing, so eventually TG will be for diamond users only. |

3.33. The Administration considers it impossible to reach Thief Guild level 5 from the very beginning in a period of one month. Therefore, leasing Thief Guild invitations becomes forbidden since December, 01, 2009. Players caught in both dealing and acquiring TGis at any cost significantly different from the market prices will be fined severely.
So in short, TGI renting is banned in LWM here and the only way to get it is to use diamonds or buy from market???

Yes, getting a deal too good to be true for a TGI from the market can be punished by Administration. I've seen it. |
Wow, that really sucks but what is the exact market price of TGI that the Administration finds it ok?
Referring to this rule:

Seriously, why did the administration implement this rule on the market?
