AuthorOverindentification with a game
Hey,

I like this game very much (in fact, some of the best I played so far) and maybe I spend "a bit" too much time in it, but what I don't really understand, that people sometimes are so serious here or even angry because ingame changes, rigged battles, unfair players etc.

Some are throwing mud at others, whole clans get trouble because of certain decisions or happenings. Why that?

OK, I don't like it too to be crushed by a full art last minute joined barb, when I expected a fair and joyfull group battle. But it's not that I grumble all day long because of that.

A game should be for fun, shouldn't it?

So I just want to put up this mixed real life / ingame topic.

Someone wants to discuss? In a friendly way? I really want to understand. :)
^^ When you like somehing too much, you will put "a bit" emotion on it, either in fun or serious way.
Define too much =)

Some care more, some less. It's like reporting cheaters really: some will ignore them, some will create a topic in CaA. Are the latter overidentifying with the game? :)
I like the first post. We play here beautiful free game and we shouldn't bother admins by our personals problems. We should be able to solve them alone, so they have time for programming ;-)
for jrf:
most of the time we bother admins by their own problems, or in other words - problems with their own game, which is called a feedback. most successful companies appreciate it and even pay for such ;}
for Georgia:
Of course, we must report technical problems, suggestion etc. But reporting problems about teaming up in the current tournament is too much imho, that's what I meant by personal problems.
On Internet, there are many "young" players, and it seems that as you grow up, you learn to deal with "injustice". I also believe that you get more and more problems to worry about, so that you don't really care about those little problems you encounter in the game.

You also are more likely aware that admins won't take your opponion much in account. Furthermore, as time goes by, you happen to learn that the better way to solve problems is to do it on your own, instead of relying over the others... Don't you think?
well, one of these reports have just resulted in a change of a tournament rules, which in itself speaks a lot. it's somewhat signifcant for a little stagnant project like this one. i suspect it's only due to Arctic's quick intervention though, but in general, i think admins should be much more aware of what players are "bothering" them with. (it is self-understood i am excluding the silly ones).

if i were an admin of this game, i'd be glad so many people are trying to improve my project. it means they like it and eventually have put enough effort to think of a different ways to make it better and more popular. however, the lack of communication, both incoming and outgoing, isn't helping them at all.
Sometimes we even wonder if any of those suggestions are red, especially after getting a huge load of updates and none of the suggestions, yet very good ones lies there waiting, have been implemented yet.

It seems that its rather fair easier to just copy, translate and paste all the updates that .ru had without taking into consideration that this community is in all aspects of it, totally different then .ru community. Not the same way of thinking, not the same way of play, way lower population count which bring up different problems to solve.

I hope one day they will understand the difference between both servers.
^^ Agree, but first they must know that we use english at here.
Another specific .com development was automatically extended auctions in case of a new bid, for Estates. I believe .ru has no such feature :)
lol

I write a topic about overidentification with this game, you discuss about updates and admins behaviour.

And it's like raaaaain on a wedding day... XD
for Kotrin:
not quite. couple of days ago Alexander (adm) putted a rare set on the market by the same type of auction...

for Nutella:
just an idea... we should make a topic about beaver's reproduction and see where it will end :}} i bet it won't be any far from this one xD
i bet it won't be any far from this one xD

Why a whole new thread? Is their any special about beaver reproduction? You've made me curious...
11 think the idea is originaly from .ru coz i read somewhere when biding on estates was almost finished whole server went down for small while when server recovered all auction were done already. Leaving many ppl dissapointed since they were outbid but didnt have no time to bid higher.
well in my opinion you connect your mind with what u do, when u play this game u think of it, and feel inside of it. its very natural to involve such feelings.
you can really dive into games, with all of yourself, feelings too
