Is it only gold, or can they take things from your inventory and/or resources as well?
Also, how much gold? Is it a % of all you have, or is it dependent on your lvl?
And last: can a thief attack you if you are unarmed or traveling with 1 creature? Does that affect what they can steal? |
You always lose something around 50-100 Gold. No matter how rich you are.

if u haven't creatures when u traveled and a thief catch u u will fight with monks
if u are a thief u have to fight with your own creatures u take gold and exp the gold u take from the battle u done

Thieves can only steal 50-100 gold from the victim.
The amount of gold you can get is the victim's loss x TG level (TG0 = 1). |
So basically travel with min arts on, and perhaps you'll get lucky and win a battle? :P
Is it monks with whatever faction you play with, or is that just with knights? I'm elf and would sorta like to try out monks... :D
And last - if you're just in a hunt/fight where you lose many of your troops, but still have over 40%, do you attack with 100% of recruited troops, or only the % that are regenerated(40 - 100%)? |

if you have no troops at all and they ambush you, you get
amount of monks = combat level; regardless of your faction.
So in your case, you would receive 6 monks |
