| I believe that kind of tournaments are a great opportunity to raise secondary factions fsps... At least that's what I did... switched to demon, played the tournament and some other easy hunts and mercs... I got to faction lvl 1 this way very easy. When I save some money, I'll probably switch back and buy the cerberi upgrade and play some more with demons... Don't just complain all the time, but rather try to use the situation... |
| i noticed that many players switched to demon for better score on the tourney. some people always need the advantage to enter a PvP fight - like teaming up in blindfold tourney. the only difference is that this is not so disgusting, but it's lame nevertheless (of course, i guess some switched to demon for other reasons than just winning 15 throne battles) |
| I really don't see a different why changing faction for this tournament would be any different than changing faction for every other purposes in this game (thieving, hard merc quests, hard hunts...). Getting the feel for the other factions only brings you the advantage over your enemy, cause you better know him... |
| Well i guess some took the opportunity to increase demon faction from lvl 0 to lvl 1 as you wouldn't have to build all the upgrades for this kind of event. |
| I switched purely to get easier faction skill points in demon. Though I do not see this as a bad thing. I intend to get skill points in all factions, barb and demon are my lowest, and demons racial ability is more important, plus greater chance of winning. In addition if something is within the rules and holds no negative impact on other players I would argue that it is not lame or something to be frowned upon. The assessment on whether it is damaging on other players I guess may be argued. In addition, most of the time I fce demons, which is then a fair fight. I wonder if with throne battles you could have an option to fight only your faction, so that it is purely a matter of skill since exactly equal, thereby giving elves for instance a more significant chance to win. Though I guess this suggestion is not within the complete spirit of the purpose of the throne battle. |

| When you fight your own faction, luck is what decides the battle. Who starts has the upper hand. At least with DE... :P |
| I suppose for factions with a shooter this is the case. In the demon ones I have played so far, it is quite tactical to do with how you divide. When to use fireball, or disruption ray, or gate. As well as positioning, since the low move makes getting teh upper hand on an engagement more tricky. |

ok, this is my observation, my point of view... i am sure that many disagree with me, and i don't want to (and i can't) impose my will on anyone
admins, on the other hand, think that if you don't respect battle description or if you team up in blindfold, it's all ok.
one day, i might change my mind and start entering 3vs3 battles with 120% extra damage when it means certain win for my side - hey, it's all within the rules :)
and i don't think that all this involves the same level of lameness, but i am a little bit tired of people playing so cowardly. |

I did not switch to demon, because my purpose was to find a tactic to kill them :P
I lost 6 battles.
-1 because of lag, my troops weren't settled at combat beginning...
-1 because of trying a new tactic against DE :D
the other 4 battles were against demons. I tried several tactics, however, the demons are just too strong.
All others I could beat well. Knight could have killed me, if he used jousting and panacea better. |
I used necro and won 12 out of 15 battles, but have developed a perfect strategy to defeat even demons!
