Author | Create equal artifacts for all players |
There is no real difference between male and female characters in this game.

I dont see reason why should be female characters in advantage of +6% initiative in tournament. There is no possibility to use hunter/thief arts and I see absolutely no reason why one group of players is in advantage of 6% initiative and able to use special arts that other half of players cannot.
If there is a reason behind this, I would like to understand it. |
+1
i think there should be some male arts to make it fair |
+1 I see no reason why it should not be like this. |
its because we woman are more precious :p |
its because we woman are more precious :p
Actually it was my first guess, to give advantage to the better half of mankind, but seriously, do you ladies need it? :-) |
Perhaps they'll make you a 'change gender' button. |
Sure, potion of transgender..heh 2500 gold, but really people. This is serious discussion. :-) |
I think its a good idea I almost bought a bouqeut for my self but then I saw:
"intended for female characters" |
I agree that we need equal artifacts.
I am actually surprised there are not more females offended at the comment on the Elegance Armor.
Description:
Comfortable and elegant, this armour has firstly been designed for parades. But one shouldn't underestimate it's qualities: in a combat one would hardly call its wearer a representative of the weaker sex.
Intended for female characters.
Why even bother saying that? It seems sexist to me. It's practically saying that females are the weaker sex, except for when they wear that artifact.
Somebody get the human rights advocates! lol |
ouch it seems we are descending into a human rights debate, however these arts are so expensive... for the rich only... |
ouch it seems we are descending into a human rights debate... Not!
So please stay on topic, ladies and gentlemen :) |
Also, we should take it into consideration, that most of the female characters are male in real life... |
i agree 1+ |
Actually, I don't see why it should be a "problem". Artifacts are restricted by level, some are clearly designed with specific factions in mind (Ring of Doubt for Necromancers for example) so I don't see why gender artifacts should be an issue? |
Well, there should be fair counterparts to use, not exactly the same but something useful.
Rings of doubts have alternatives at all levels. Or you could write "sword of might", only used by males because it is heavy.
We are not talking about some flowers or diamond rings, but about artifacts with power that can be compared with thief arts with no absolutely no alternative for male characters.
Dont slip into any kind of male-female discussion, we are talking about avatars, simple representation of hero that shouldnt affect gameplay too much.
Just to compare:
Boots:

Armors:

Well, +1 defence and +1% ini compared to thief counterparts. :-) |
https://www.lordswm.com/art_info.php?id=goldciras
Well this is a male cuirass, i gives +1 defence to the female armour but you lose 2% ini i guess its a stronger armour thus heavier
but perhaps is boots were created for males it would even out
and off topic: It is a wonderful an symbolic present for a true man. that should be and |
The general logic atm in the world is that if a man has an advantage in anything (ie this game), then the game is sexist, because it discriminates. If the women have an advantage, then it's ok and if a man dares to feel discriminated, the whole "world" sees him as an ass (if you're gonna ban me for this word, remember it's the name of an animal, not just a human body part).
Therefore, if you're a man and you feel the way things are is fair, then you're either: a) an idiot; b) whipped; c) an idiot.
Discrimination by either gender / race / religion / anything else is wrong, no matter if the one receiving the advantage is considered the "weaker sex".
/end rant |
Are they not meant to be for gifts for people anyway, with the prices designed to be sufficiently prohibitive that alernatives are better? If this is true then presumably the use of these will be very limited. While the prices are less than thieves, their repairing cost is over twice as much, so having them enchanted will be even more expensive.
I can see the argument that maybe in certain situations the initiative bonus could be significant.
However, I would imagine the rate of use of these artifacts by people is so low that it doesn't really make any difference either way.
Also, on the description that the items are intended for use by females - by my understanding of that, it implies that males can use them, just that its not expected for them to ( not sure if any male is willing to spend 50,000 to find that out (I am not)) |
I agree :D
but one thing
[q]I dont see reason why should be female characters in advantage of +6% initiative in tournament[/q]
They cant use presents in the survival :) |
