Please discuss here which faction you think is best,and what it's Pros and Cons are.
I am going for Barbarian
Pros
They are close to a immune to magic depending on skill lvl.
When they are lvl 3 they get orcs which initiative is really good.
Cons
I can't thnik of any |
Since someone is going to say it, let me be the first to say all factions are balanced and no faction is best.
If you want barbarian cons:
1.) no magic spells
2.) ranged damage is low.
3.) no high initiative units before rocs |

i think each faction has it owns style like necro--raise wiz--magic DE--hydras are rescuers for them and on....
so u get it
each faction has its own + points
it doesn't matter which u like or which u think is d best
it's just that u need 2 handle the faction
and till d time u r doing that good
victory is on ur side no matter against whom u r battling

I think it all depends on your playing style.
all factions are balanced and no faction is best.
Every faction has its own pros and cons, find which one suits you best.
As for which one I like best, I can't say, there are too many different strategies that are fun. :) |

If you consider myself as an "other", then for sure I could ask myself to ^^
I find necro funny to play; almost every unit have interesting abilities to use, and there are many interesting playstyles that you could use. |

I'm liking me undeads. Frankly, I've played this faction most in all HOMM games and it's the one I feel most comfortable with. Mainly because I like having LOADS of troops (strength in numbers), but also because they're reliable, never-tiring combatants. You can march day and night, they don't need food to survive and with each foe slain, you gain an ally.
Pros:
- Resilience (can be raised back again and again)
- Great in numbers
- Cannot be affected by Poison, Life-Drain or negative Morale
- Good against few, powerful units (debilitating abilities through spells and zombies)
Cons:
- Some of the slowest troops out there
- Luck-based faction due to ghosts being such an important part (and not only due to the 50% chance to be missed, but also because of the 3-7 damage range)
- Low damage
- Cannot benefit from Morale bonuses
- Talent wheel is built to hamper the faction (no Attack, no Luck - which would probably make it overpowered)
And last, but not least: Liches had the coolest attack animation in H5, but they're awesome here too :D |
lol..this half of the topic almost became about "rights to make one shutup" and about filowarrior
anyways. I think that every faction has cons, which is why there isnt a large slanted choice for 1 certain faction.
for me though, i prefer the wizard, cause heroes can do alot of dmging magic and it is more easier to hunt n all.
Though DE is nice but...i dont like the dark color of the units lOl. |

The real world isn't nice-- no need to make this one nice either. All factions are certainly not balanced, and at certain levels, some factions really are best. |
