yea it happens ambush does not need ur army to refresh.

Note: The troops of the ambusher must be 100% ready and those of the traveler - at least 40% ready for the ambush to take place |

Technically the game just ignores the fight. So if you enter the fight at 50% army, then you exit the fight in 5minutes, you will have 83% army. |
