I am thinking of getting some jewel enchants for increasing spell damage when I switch back to being a wizard.
From what I can see, purely price wise water and fire are the cheapest. Yet if I look at high level players they have air and fire.
Is this because these enchants do not work like the weapon enchants, and give that percentage of elements damage, but instead only work on the appropriate spell type.
So as an example if I were to cast lightning which would do 100 damge and I have a 10% earth damage jewel craft
Would I still do 100 damage as lightning is air damage so earth doesn't affect it
Or would I do 110 damage - 100 being air damage, and 10 earth damage.
Clarification on this would be very useful befoe I waste a load of gold
