It says in the experience tables that once you reach level 12 in the gamblers guild you get Free drink: +1 luck for 2 hours once in 24 hours.
How exactly does that work? Does the drink appear in your inventory? And can you save drinks and drink more than one to get extra luck?
I'm way off getting to level 12, just wondered whether it was worth being a gambler :) |

Definately not worth.
At a supposed average of 10 minutes/game, you'd have to play 1200 games for 800 victories at a 2:1 win-lose ratio, wich means 200 hours spent playing a card game... |

The "once per 24 hours" timer runs as soon as you use the drink (not when it wears off).
Worth noting: the Tavern Drink is "worth" 4 AP.
It might help you reach min AP for a fight for nothing.
It might push you off-limits if you wage battle under some AP restriction.
It counts as "equipment disparity" if you try to attend an official tournament.
It's often seen as something "unfair" even by full arts players (your mileage may vary).
Getting this drink is a heavy investment in time. It's up to each to decide if it's worth it or not. |

I reckon I'll just keep playing the card game just cos it's fun and, as Grunge says, a good time filler while troops are recovering :) |
