| how do i sell gems back to gem factry? |
Just go to a facility which: a) needs to buy gems abd b) has available gold
and enter the amount you wish to sell in the "Required for production per unit :" table |

You can't sell it back to the factory itself, if that's what you mean.
1.) Just go to Map->Mining or Production->Click on a facility->Search for one that says "Required for production per unit :".
There, search for one that has gems underneath it and enter the amount you want to sell. Make sure it has enough gold.
2.) Go to market and sell. (You aren't level three yet, so not happening.)
3.) Transfer to a player at a specific price. (Can't do that either because not level 3.) |

Make sure the factory doesn't have too much of that resource.
Ex.
216.43 / 144 - Overload, can't sell there.
142.44 / 144 - Can sell there. |

Gem mine won't buy gems back : it produces them. Once bought, you have to sell them to a factory that need it.
Here are the facilities that may buy it (provided they have place and gold as stated above)
