Author1st Mixed Tournament - not for new faction ?

Low faction skill level.?You are?required to use a faction with the faction skill?level?no less than?7.

IMO this is discrimination.
Again, somebody instead of me is deciding.
I wanna increase new faction skill.
Same over here. I wanted to go into tournament to increase my new faction skill...
It's right decision. Tournaments are for competition. I don't want to see people with 0 faction level on my side, because it's decrease our chances to win.
Do you think, that in example: 2 players with level 5 and racial skill 9, will help you against 3 players level 10-14 with skill 0?
IMO nonsense, too. But not against tournament rules.
Puh-lease, CreatorOfWidows.

I don't know who they expect to filter out by this lame rule, but that's definitely not the way to go. I've been "assisted" by clueless players, AFK players, complete noobs, and people throwing the sponge halfway battle thinking we would lose (and we won). I'd have 100% preferred a beginner in his faction than these, err, teammates.

Really annoying if you want my opinion, and this rule is another reason to complain. I've received mails from a fellow level 11 player who is Barbarian faction FIVE and still can't register. He has more than 300 FSP in his current faction. Oh yeah he has been Knight 8 at a point, perhaps that's the reason Admins should punish him? Since I'm only faction five in my current faction, too, I guess I should be happy to be able to play at all. Perhaps that's because I never reached faction level 8 anywhere before? Or perhaps it doesn't apply to Dark Elves? Who knows?

Where in tournament rules is it written that your faction skill level should be X or Y in order to play? That's just plain ludicrous.

If admins want to completely shun down the ability to switch faction, just tell it in rules, and remove the dropdown button in castle interface. Problem solved. But I really came to hate all those hidden rules spread here and there, and always dicovered by trial-and-error of victims.
As this tourney has same stupid random formula as normal group battles, so sometimes its quite equal, sometimes its a bad joke for one side, so I dont understand why 7 racial is required.
Same question. It is nonsense to have a rule like that. or let's say the barrier is too high.

For example, I have knight fsp 5, DE 7 and Elf fsp 8. Which one should I choose to join the GB? Everyone knows Elf and DE SUCKS in GB, so I'd rather use knight 5 instead of Elf 8 since I doubt whether Elf 8 is stronger than Knight 5. But unfortunately it is against the rule.
CreatorOfWidows , what you say it's true, but on the other hand I may be better then someone with faction level 5, because I can afford to go into battle in full arts, while the other one does not.

Not to mention that these rules should have been stated somewhere. Today I changed faction from demon to wizard JUST BECAUSE OF THIS TOURNAMENT. I knew that it was worth to spend 350.000+ gold, to become a full art/creatures wizard. And my hope in return was to get at least level 3 faction skill by the end of this tournament.

Now I'm faced with the fact that tomorrow I'll have to change back to demon in order to participate, while having wizard full arts...
for SirM0rphius:
Noone can join without arts, becouse equipment limitations, i.e. for me: Standard (49 minimum AP, shop artifacts only). 49 AP it's full or almost full "war" set.
You changed faction form demon racial 5 to wizard racial 1, probably you CAN'T join to tournament, becouse "not writen" rule >>Low faction skill level<<.
If you change faction for tournament, you "wasted" 350k.
Topic moved from "Tournaments" to "Queries and help".
lol
If we need faction level 6 I can only participate as elf .... >.>
if its 5, I can join as knight wizard or elf.
so whats the requirement for lev 11, faction level 5 or 6 ?
Good question, this requirement should be write.
Otherwise someone may change faction for tournament, and can't join becouse too low racial skill. Only waste time.
so whats the requirement for level 11, faction level 5 or 6 ?

I'd like to know. Here is food for thought:

- Kotrin, level 11, could attend at tournament as a Dark Elf (faction level 5, 300 FSP). His highest faction level is 6 in any faction.

- Darkwalker29, level 11, could NOT attend the tournament as Barbarian (faction level 5, 376 FSP). His highest faction level was 8 as a Knight. When turning Knight, he could participate.

So there's definitely more in the equation than faction level compared to your combat level. Too bad the formula hasn't been disclosed beforehand.
All the more, the rule should be clearly described.
i could do it with DE and barb but not with elf or demon
Kotrin can still play with all 7 factions if faction level 5 is required =/
Im glad I just reach it, now I can start participating.
At level 10 , due to my other factions not above 5 , i can participate with elf fsp 3 :)
