When you build your blacksmith at level 6, you can go into the blacksmith (it;s listed in your castle with an "enter" link).
From there you can choose your item and then choose the type of enchantment you want to place on it (restricted by your enchanting level and the elements available).

| By enchanting. Each enchant you do gives you enchanters' guild exp, depending on which enchant you make. By reaching the amount of exp required (8), you will level up in that enchanting guild. |
