Authorclan creation
Creating a clan costs 50 000 gold, is it allowed to spread the costs over several people. For example make the invitation fee 1500 gold:
500 to send the invitation and 1000 gold to the person that created the clan, since he paid the 50 000.
And as soon as 50 people joined the clan, invitation fee goes back to 500 gold or the extra 1000 gold is send to the clan treasury.
Yes , clan leader's use of clan funds is undisputed unless he is collecting clan gold for a specific purpose or for military clan .
As I understand it. You can charge whatever you wish for an invitation and the clan leader can choose what he wishes to do with this which can include keep it for himself.

The only things which need to be taken into account are:

- There can only be one leader/owner of a clan and no positions within a clan can be sold for any in-game valuables (e.g. you cannot charge someone to allow them to become a herald, recruiter, treasurer, etc).

- If the leader promises that clan joining fees, taxes, donations, etc.. will be used for a specific purpose then this needs to be done.

- Any joining fee for a clan is subject to the 30% of networth rule (the same as gifts). If this rule is broken then it is the clan leader who gets fined.

This was the basis of understanding we were told to look at as "juries" though I am not sure if this still applies and/or has been changed.

The only people who can accurately clarify this for you are the admins.
Thank you for answering my question. I was not sure because of this rule:

3.26. Financial pyramids are forbidden in this game (including creating recruiter networks for clans by promising them part of recruitment fees).

It basically says that it is forbidden to send a part of the recruitment fee to the recruiter. So I thought perhaps the leader could be seen as a recruiter too and therefore he was not allowed to keep a part of it. Thanks for clarifying it
as far as the recruiter networks are concerned. I believe in this case the official recuiters (e.g. people with a named position as recruiter within a clan can receive part of the invite fee) but others who are not official recruiters cannot receive any form of payment for people recruited. Also, if a clan has an high percentage of members who are recruiters then admins may look upon it as a financial pyramid.

Only official recruiters can be paid for recruiting.

3.26.2. Only clan Recruiters may be awarded for bringing newer recruits into the clan. Clan leaders are advised to limit the recruiting duties to official Recruiters
