AuthorThose 'Auto Win' Quests
Hiya,

I just had a quest -

Nowadays, roads are dangerous, and the merchants are seriously worried about the safety of their cargo. You will have to escort a caravan until 'Ridge of Hope'. Start making your preparations now, the merchants need to arrive there in 600 minutes.

Most of us knows that there are some quests (like the one above) where the system don't actually make you fight. You just arrive at the intended destination, and you get the message "Hand over cargo". And the system already take it that you have completed the quest successfully.

Now my Q is - Since you have technically 'won' the battle, does this take away the enrollment penalty,

i. if you report back?
ii. if you don't report back?

Fyi, when I arrive at the destination, my quest timer (using the approved script) jumped from the usual 10 hours (600 hours) to 90 mins. :)

Not sure if this is a bug or the reporting back time has been shorten for quests like these.
there is 5% chances to not get a cargo
so enjoy it
oh sorry for my above post
i hadn't read your post properly
You must win a FIGHT to reset the enrollment penalty. Doing a quest has nothing to do with it.
No fight, no victory.

Enrollment penalty is not lifted.

By the way, does anyone know if succeeding in such a quest increases the strength of Brigands for next Escort mission? If you were about to encounter Barbarian-Brigands(8) but escape them, are you going to encounter Barbarian-Brigands(9) next time?

Well, I'm not in the penalty, so no way for me to know.

But I can imagine if a player is in the penalty, and his hunts are mostly impossible, and he depend on his quests every 10 hours to take away his enrollment penalty. If that was the case, and he gets 1 of this 'auto win' quests, and like you said, it doesn't take away the penalty, then it would really sux since he would be in the penalty still! haha..
#5 I'm not sure but I guess it's not increasing.
#6 He can just assist someone in a hunt. It's enough to reset the penalty.

It increases,it once happened to me, sorry my combat log is so messy to prove it .

My friend, there really ain't an abundance of hunt assists at my, and higher, level. :)
Yes, if you meet a brigant, the enrollment penalty is reset. I did that.
5 yes ur brigands lvl increase thats why i always try to find road they are guarding. Eventualy u find where they are waiting for u even if that sometimes means running around whole map. :)
#12

Why would you do that? What advantage would you have to find such brigades??
Not sure bout him, but as you mentioned in #6, to reset the enrollment counter? You don't need to pass over the cargo when you see the option, you know...

Sorry, having 1 of my dumb blond moments.. but how's not passing over the cargo have to do with resetting the enrollment penalty? or beneficial for that matter? :)
They have not ambushed you + cargo not successfully handed over, so you still have the chance to get ambush when you move. Not entirely sure 'bout this though, never done it.
The chance not to get ambushed is not 5% , it is directly dependent on the route taken .
They seem to set traps on most of the routes then. ^^

Tried it a few times, example cargo to be sent to GC, by moving to MC, I still got ambushed.
18 its a odd luck sometimes. once i had to take cargo from bg to yl but got ambushed between ST and EB after traveling every main road on the map.
