Well, unless you plan to beat titan monster {5} its not really usefull.
Most people dont recruit any zombies at all, or perhaps 1 or 2 to protect the skeletal bowmen. But ofcourse, if you have the money and can miss it, you should build it.
xxx skeletal bowmen - 29 ghosts - 11 vampires - 5 liches
Thats what most necromancers use at lev8, so they dont use (infected) zombies at all. |

Check this out. https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=489672733 With infected strike each attack reduces attack and defense of the enemy stack by four. So even though this angel monster had over 9K HP its not that hard with Infected Zombiers. |
they perfect to fight monsters:
if you attack it 10-20 times, even the points of an {3} monster are at 0. Then can you easily kill it with your vamps. |
They are excellent for doing Monster Quests and I would recommend them for certain types of battles.
They certainly helped me win quite a times when I would have lost without them. |
| I haven't fought against many necros, etc, but i think they may be useful for poison-necros. DEs have Minotaurs, Wizards have Gargoyles, i think the one which necro has is Infected Zombie. In hunts i can see them mostly as ''bodyguards'' of Skeleton Archers, but a magic-necro with those in PvP would maybe be awesome. |

they are just too slow (low initiative and low speed)
Apart from those xxx-monster mercernary missions they are completely useless. |
