Looks like that Wizards are great at lv5,8 and 9,right after getting new units(and they're powerful ones).However,wizards seem to have some difficulties dealing with high level players.


It is because magic can't work that fast.. I think wizards are better when they're in a team.

And as for might wizards, they can do some great things.. but it depends on the other player's build.
is anything wrong in this battle
please tell if i used any wrong tactic; also tell other better ways to attack them

you could have hid gargs in a corner to take less damage, and then finish it off with magic (since your attack is not very high).
@36: wow that is just really unlucky

you used good tactics, but there are some things you can do, specially against thugs and poisoners:

1. change recruiting. less magi, more golems. you need to have as many tanks as possible, and golems can't get poisoned. i think the best recruiting is 64 gargs, 23 gol, 4 genies, 8 magi. (or 5 genies, 6 magi)

2. change mini-arts to defense and hit points for golems, hit points and speed for gargs. again, this is because you need to have tanks, and you need to run. it might even be a good idea to give gargs defense and hit points, because most of the damage is done through shots, and anyways it is quite difficult to run from thugs.

3. more spell power: use cape of spirits and/or wiz cap. you can still have a relatively cheap min ap set, like cape + steel blade + leather armour + defender shield.



1.Thanks , i m gonna try with this recruitment my further hunts. Golems' additional 100 .ish HP might just help.

2.I already had the same mini-arts set-up as u said in that battle(and in each of my battles). But i 'll try Hit points on gargs when i face shooters like thugs again.

3.Actually I have been trying to use normal 8AP set(without the support of magic arts)to hunt mobs, mainly 'coz of the reason of being low on gold currently and also waanted to try whether normal 8AP mage is really that good in hunts , as is believed to be. But i think you r right that it gets harder after a point.
From eng.witchhammer.ru, a cape of spirits per battle cost is 46 gold, and that of medal of bravery is 24 gold. it's not too big a difference, you could use it for the difficult hunts. (other arts would be light axe, defender shield, and leather armour).
What is the best recruitement for a lvl 7 wiz with:
gremlin engineers,gargoyles,golems and magi?
max magi and gargs
Then golems
You can take the gremlin, but I'm not sure its worth it.

Well, I don't think it's worth. They can't repair many golems and more stacks of magi can do better damage with mp.
Also, in the battle against ogres which have low speed you won, but what about a battle against shrews, lizard cubs, or even not-so-speedy creatures like minotaurs. If they would have caught your 2 gargos you would be dead.
And even if you can raise golems, they're not too powerful. Gargos can stand much more than them for you to cast spells. If you wanna go might, you could try it at level 9 (even if it's still not too good as genies are almost the only attack stack) or level 10 when you get modern golems which are far better than normal golems.

what are the best talents for a wizzy to be learned
we have 55 talent points in total to distribute with, so i have decided to get the following talents
basic erudition(9), intellect(9), basic sorcery(7), mana recovery(7), advanced sorcery(7), basic chaos magic(10)
is this a good choice
if there is any other better way of choosing talents then please tell and also tell which talents should be choosen at which level
you may change your talent at any time
simply change it if needed
What's good talents for level 6 Wizard?
I think Basic Sorcery + Mana Recovery.. But I'm not sure as I didn't tested it (talents changed a bit since I was lvl 6). Even if it seems the best combo for me.
I am considering starting being a thief again. I'm level 8 and I was wondering if people thought it was possible to do as a wizzard or should I change back to DE?
I think it is easier to do thieving as wizard than DE, so dont change for that reason. But you should get some miniarts on your creatures?

@52: right now you have only 10 points, don't plan that far ahead. you'll get lots of points, and depending on your knowledge and spell power, you'll need different talents.

@54: basic sorcery and mana recovery if you need mana, otherwise advanced sorcery.
i got a question:

level 3 wizard can equip how many mini art?

if 2 above how should i do it?
