I suggest there will be a loan system among player.If there were loan system and rules allowing loaning gold I think more people will quit faster in lwm. Loan system like renting art system which are art can be withdrawn while loan will be calculate like this.
when player loan from another player it will appear in their profile.
then,to pay it they need to pay it during enrolling depends on period of gold.
Let say it was 15 days,they loan 30000 gold.so they need 2000 gold per day to pay it.System will recalculate their online period.If 1 day their online period was 3 hours and their labour guild was lvl 5=3x then 33% of their wage will be used up to pay the loan.If system want to take charge maybe additional 1-7%.so,it will be easy to pay the loan.
They may also reset their loan paying using wage and also they can transfer directly using system.loan can also be set wit limit depends on their labour guild.Maybe 20k*their labour guild.If the period is over the system will just take the gold left from them to recover the loan.if the loan was eceeding their gold system may just take it and put it as their gold is (-) or others way.
so I think if this system exist they will bring so much benefits.

Why would you want players to quit faster? -1.
I get the rest of your post, but understand that if one player has to take a loan, chances are he will be unable to repay the loan by the end of the moment, making his gold negative. He will then be unable to buy artifacts and battle to reset workaholic penalty.
There is already a simple way for players to play without gold: Merc's guild brigants quests. The battle will not require any artifacts, and will reset the workaholic penalty.
