Author | Update your firefox |
Hi,
for all people using Firefox, a month ago was discovered bug in Adobe Flash, which is widely used on lwm.com. At response for this discovery it was created new version of flash ( get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ - you will get latest version if u dont have it ).
What is bad, it slows a very bad Firefox 3.6.2 and easier. So if u notice some slowdown, update to 3.6.6 where is that problem solved and it gives u more power:).
P.S: really recommended if u use GM script. |
actually, I'm using 3.6.6 and it's actually slower than the previous version i used (which i think was 3.5) but maybe that's just me :) |
depends on number of plugins and which plugin u have.
Didn't compared to previous 3.5 and lower , but i had 3.6 and 3.6.6 is faster than every 3.6.x due to flash update ( don't know what they do to flash, but nwm ). |
3.6.6 was WAYYYY better than 3.6.2, for me anyways.
it was really laggy, but now 3.6.6 is working very nicely. |
now with that plugin-container.exe my adobe flash plug in crashes each 2-3 days =/ |
more like 2-3 hours for me. And all flash based sites are much slower now than before >.< |
I disabled the plugin container, and the crashs are gone.
That stuff seriously needs some tweaking. |

Same here
Its starting to get better, but its lagging heaps |
I disabled the plugin container, and the crashs are gone.
How do you disable this? Thanks. |
How do you disable this? Thanks.
i'd like to know too :)
and does flsah work fine even with it disabled? |
ever heard of google?
Just go to about:config and alter 5 of those things zzz..... |

One google query with "disable plugin-container" will answer that.

Disabling it is sort of a rollback to previous versions of firefox.
The plugin-container is used to externalize the flash plugin from the main firefox.exe process. Thus, when flash crashes/hangs, it doesn't bring down your firefox with it.
Problem is i only had problems with flash crashing after i installed the update.
That being said, it's probably nice when it works. |
Finally! Firefox is lagging like it's supposed to lag XD
thnx, triplebuzze |
Hm...
After few discuss thread we have solution: Install Chrome ( http://www.google.com/chrome ) and this plugin ( http://blankcanvasweb.com/pages/id_143/n_chrome_script_handler/ ) which brings GM functionality to Chrome ( all scripts edited or created by me works ). |
Try disabling hardware acceleration in flash player setting -> right click on the map, choose settings and untick it |
i hav problem with my mozilla...it crashes evry time i open a specific game in facebook...
any can help me out? |
