Like Blackjack maybe? Poker's no good because it's no fun when you can't "read" the other players, but Blackjack might work. Games like Hearts and Chess would be awesome if added to the Tavern. The Tavern would also be great place to put up CCG-like card games (along the lines of something like Magic: The Gathering) which can be played with cards collected/bought in-game. Make it a real bar.
I only suggest because as of now both games we have (Roulette and Two Towers) are completely based on luck; this would introduce some strategy. Roulette especially leans the odds in favour of the house's edge, and since the "House" here doesn't actually gain anything by taking the players' gold (right?) wouldn't evening things up a bit be a good idea? |
